Interesting name, does Singo own her? ... he's certainly collected a few over the years, don't think he's ever owned one though ...

In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

Many people also said HARTNELL would either win the MC easily or run last and we know what happened there...

How would you define 'success' for a horse like this?

Metro win?
Stakes win?
G1 win?

I reckon stakes win would do in my book.

Tnoy Morris says the many chestnuts that Frankel has sired come from his female family.

Not sure exactly where though, he was not specific.

The chestnut gene is recessive, so who knows?

In terms of the female family alone, Joie Denise dropped three chestnut foals, only one being by a chestnut stallion whilst Sunday Joy had four chestnut foals, none of whom were by chestnut stallions.

Photography of horses can be tricky to " read" at times, but the one thing that caught my eye at first sight was the prominent position of the sternum, it may have been the way she was standing and I hope so as I would like this filly to be good but it was something I disliked in the confirmation of a thoroughbred. As for the name about the same as HA HA, quirky IMO.

The winner of the trial was pretty basic at her only start. Happy to watch another trial if that's the way GaiBott goes but not holding my breath about Woman remotely living up to the hype.

Is it an illusion but does Woman appear to need time in the paddock to grow?  She seemed smaller than the others in the  trial./  Certainly no superstar.

Was not overwhelmed by latest trial and was looking to be against her however with Wild About Her scratched I can't find anything to oppose - $2.10 looks fair enough. I think Fifth Affair should win a maiden this prep but bad racing pattern and gate #1, against it tomorrow.

Posted By: AdaHunta
Date Posted: 13 Sep 2017 at 1:27am
I had thrown the Chequebook at Wild About Her ..........was very keeeeeen

Singo had to pull her from the race ........so his Hype filly gets her chance

I think Fifth Affair is the big danger will be interesting to see if they ride it to win and give it every chance ........could be dodgy this race .....

she ain't no hype horse, anyone seen her go around knows she is small an will do well to snag a win, might be better over a mile .something small on waitemate harbor for me.

Hmm, I'll wait for the times. Was a very weak maiden. The fact that she didn't put much of a margin on the Godolphin horse who looked awful at the trials, unfancied in the betting and outside leader in the run doesn't fill me with much confidence. Plus the only other horse in the betting Fifth Affair got no run in the straight. That said, she did win coming around the field which may be hard to do today at Canterbury.

Date Posted: 13 Sep 2017 at 11:09pm
I've watched the replay and checked the times. It doesn't look good. Very slow tempo and the final 600m was only good, not great. The stablemate, while not very good, was entitled to do much better here leading off the slow tempo. I daresay that Woman was 100% screwed down for this. Hopefully will be money to be made opposing next start.

was great placement by gai an the team that's why she is still number 1 in nsw Thumbs Up times are misleading with small fields, she might be able to snare a nice miles race over summer then hit the breeding barn

Noticed this mare is now in work with David Hayes. Trialling again tomorrow at Wodonga.

Hasn’t raced since her debut at Canterbury in Sept 2017 when trained by Gai.

Anyone know if she’s had injury problems, or have they just given her time to grow & mature?

Posted By: Second Chance
Date Posted: 10 Feb 2019 at 3:55pm
Don't know Lord H, however you'd have to think she's had problems of one sort or another.

The fact she's now with Hayes would suggest the on-off love affair between Gai and John Singleton is now on the off setting.

She just walked around in a recent Tatura trial and will hopefully go up a notch at Wodonga.
