thanks to everyone for the wishes.about to head home and have dinner and an ale with the family.wish it was 47 Runfer  . 48 unfortunately but hey i may be only half way yet ! very wet Furious but thats ok. it beats very dry. and yes Runfer i did have a decent bet on Dylaca. was pretty exciting. they are talking about taking the winner to the Devonport Cup so we are wrapped with Elsie's(Dylaca) result. Reckon Campaspe would have been proud - showing glimpses of her mother ?

Dam ! Did I miss a Sh,Bourne winner ???  Been away for 2 weeks and didnt see a race the whole time. Congratulations on the winner.  Well, I am assuming Dylaca won, going on above posts. And hope it was a nice birthday you had. No doubt it would be. After all, winners are grinners and the rest can go whistle Many Happies and many winners for the coming years, Slowdown . Acacia, no we got a 2nd but its a nice turn around from the luck we have been having. she is close to a win now with the extra distance suiting. I guess it was close to a win as she paid over $9 for the place. Maskiell was hugely impressed. she was crunched by the winner up the straight , rebalanced and put her ears back to get within 2 lengths of the winner. good signs..... thanks for the birthday wishes. funny you should say that re Lizzy. we don't go there as we worked out when I finished high school she was in her 2nd year of school. still you are only as old as the women you feel...... ------------- Rebel - racing. thanks Guys, already been a top day. Riverman and Rebel did their first 400 evens this morning and went great. switched on well and didnt need to be pushed . very happy. got them back to the stable and at work now. hopefully a 3.30 knockoff so long as there are no breakdowns then home with the wife and kids for a bbq,cake and a couple of beers. ------------- Rebel - racing. thanks Guys, got to bed early. just getting ready to go to the track with the two babies. top night with my little family and a wonderful feed. yes S.C. the tattoo total has been passed. thanks Guys, took the day off. took Rebel to the track at 8-30 am. how good is that. having a quiet coopers and spending the night with my little family . | At least long grass means your out of that drought from a few seasons ago! Once was riding a horse which had had an injury from barbed wire and could spot any lying around or loose a mile away. It stopped dead from a canter unfortunately I didn't. |

yes Furious, if we do get a dry time its not for long. Saw a show on the ABC about how farmers are moving down here due to the drought. did the same thing 19 years ago. I never complain about sloshing about in the mud after umpteen years of drought outside toowoomba. still no better there. Mate says its actually worse. i find it hard to imagine as our paddocks used to look like gravel roads. i hear you re the horse and coming off. i miss riding but dont miss that bit..... ------------- Rebel - racing. | Well another year has past and boy has our world changed. Glad to see your racing up and running again and winners coming in strong for you. Hope that continues and the world becomes a brighter place again. So happy birthday and may all your mares foal safely this spring. It's really amazing all the foal photos on Racenet with the amazing length of grass after the last few years of almost no grass. I'm loving it. |
