Subby got David Hayes over the line eventually, lets see if we can get Kav back in the G1 winners circle!

Last one 12/10/2013, Atlantic Jewel in the Caulfield Stakes.

Ha ha, brilliant. Add in a 3 year disqualification for Kav and we might have a new winner!!!

So, does he have any horses at all that could cinch him one this autumn?

The only difference between Kav and Hayes is that Hayes was expanding and going to a new frontier with Euroa in the last few years, whereas in the same period it seems that Kav was downsizing or getting ready to retire-perhaps not by choice!

What did David Hayes get up to? Kav will surpass that if he hasn't already!

Too good Skippy LOL

Magicool then went this miraculous run: 13/15, 12/14, 11/12, 14/15, 17/18, 15/16, 7/7, 7/8, 11/12, last four under Waller.  Seems to suggest something.

3BM, selectively using stats again with your sample size of one horse!

I can't but wonder if those of you on here rubbishing CAV where subjected to the same victimisation how you would hold up. Despite being cleared by a Federal Court judge he continues to be dragged through the mud and subjected to crap like this thread, how the hell is supposed to flourish in such an environment.

If you don't have the stock, you won't win G1 races. So despite Cav winning at VCAT, RV get what they want, dragging things on despite cost to participants they claim their victim. And many here celebrate and enjoy the bully boy tactics.

Only issue is, he may yet become one of the wealthiest trainers in the country and have the last laugh when all is said and done....

I assume you mean wealthy by suing Racing Victoria? The only way he will earn a dime. His biggest backer left him when evidence was coming out. Doubt they will be back.

I'm interested to know how many know the people they comment on on here personally (not just Kav but others). Curiosity provoked by tillyras saying he's not a nice person..

We all (including myself) have many opinions on many things, but unless we know the person or have intimate knowledge about the inner workings of what goes on, all we have to base these assumptions on is what say the media portrays and conjecture..
And al though I come from a family with many journo's, I don't trust mainstream media much these days.
In my job, reputations precede many but in actuality they are generally nothing like what is touted..
I'm guilty of it myself at times but are we basing our opinions on media type clickbait or reality (which doesn't include indulging 'he said, she said' rumours)??

I can understand how you'd automatically jump to that conclusion Uluru given the situation in which you were involved and which you continually defend despite the myriad evidence, which we don't need to regurgitate here simply to allow you to vent further. Suffice to say it's a pity some involved aren't as candid or as honest as Sam Kav eventually was.

To set you straight yet again Mr 180-degrees I intentionally left people to make up their own minds about Magicool because while  there is no clear evidence the form is suggestive enough. There are other examples which you'd know about IF you actually bothered to read more. Google Midsummer Sun some time. Some interesting coincidences in the SK case eh, not the least of which would be the  $1000 bottles of "supplement" supplied by Brennan.

Across the 4 G1 Derbies in this country, I'd imagine there are more horses who don't go on with it than do. As for the Qld edition, here are the winners since that good horse Fremason won in 2000:

As I can't find the the correct thread may I ask, when is the final appeal date for the cobalt saga? Was it to be heard in it's entirety in one day in June? Thanks.

Posted By: skippy123

Friday- Court of Appeal- RV will seek leave to appeal- if granted, it will be heard that day apparently- written submissions would already have been given.
I believe the trainers could possibly counter appeal aspects of the judgement if they too can prove a poin of law..

Not sure if this true or not, but he seems to have lost a lot of his main owners.

And with guys like McEvoy, Kennewell and of course DK, becoming stronger (especially McEvoy with the youngsters), he has been left in their wake.

The lifeblood of stables are owners, and if you get offside with one or two of your wealthier or high number producing owners, then you are dead in the water.

It is a bit like Anthony Cummings, He goes through periods where he is going great guns, and that is because his main supply of owners are breeders, who can go through periods of low quality yearlings, but when they get a good crop, they are hot.

Failed in one run, first appearance clockwise on a wet track where he did everything wrong. From memory he and Puccini carved each other up in front. Predictably went to stud straight after. Not the first horse and won’t be the last to put in a shocker like that.

By Oaks day it will be 1980 days, can the second favourite end his run before 2000 days are up?

By my count this is now up to 2708 days today and given he has no nominations tomorrow or for the 3 WA G1 events, that would put him at 2807 days by the CF Orr day next year.

Can we get Kav over the line as Subby did with David Hayes a few years ago?

He certainly doesn't have that swagger of a few years back, might be a few mil lighter in the pocket too, although if the rumour mill is correct, the payout by the rogue vet they are suing will help ease some pain.
