Seeing as i dont own any horses (at the moment) i was just wondering which forumites own horses and what their (horses) names are. I like following friends' horses and I consider all you guys on my "extended friends" list. Also would be handy to know when they are running as it would give me something to look forward to when im at work!

5% in Treasury Notes (The TBV 2yo filly). She will be back in a month or two hopefully
2.5% in Mr Clangtastic. Is currently receiving treatment for an injury in the offside foreleg. Will be a while before he makes it back to the track.

Cosmic Fury, trained in Albury by Kevin Hanley.

Always loved the gallops and got in to racehorse ownership last year when offered a share in a lease mare Danzig Storm - retired her in February when others in the sydndicate wanted out.  Bought her from the breeder and now wanting to breed to run with her - see post in Broodmares.
HOOKED!!! - Now own 10% share in Hennessey Bird who's showing us plenty as a 2 year old - having a let up but I'll let you know when she's running - fingers crossed on her.  With Daryn Drust at Bendigo - excellent trainer if you're looking for a small stable and not too XXXX'ey on the $$$.

I gave Versailles Pike a pat during a trip to a Seymour stud one year. I think she had an Umatilla youngster at foot? Didn't she have a smart one early in her career?

I think you will find its a 2007 filly.  2006 was Cape Cross' last year of service here.  Damn shame really.  He's a big loss to our breeding industry.

That would be one of her Umatilla youngsters, Little Baldy

And someone else picked up on my typo, she is indeed a 2007 model.

Are you enjoying the Waterhouse experience Toledo? We have a share in one there too - named Shekels Of Gold, just gone for a spell after an ordinary trial, but we are very happy being involved with the stable. Plenty of feedback - makes a change from a few of the stables we've been before Smile.

These days with the unlimited number in syndications half the country could claim ownership.
The friends list will swell if some of these 1 of 800 shares drop in .
All about having an interest and entertainment .
Does Gai Waterhouse still have the owner Barbeques on occasions ?. Don't read about those outings anymore .
It was quite an attraction at one time.

I've had a couple with other trainers plus had some with Star. Much prefer to deal with Gai and her staff than Denise.
I find Gai is great to deal with but sometimes the communication is lacking. I get as much information regarding my horse from her web page as i do from emails.

Ran at Kilmore 18/6/10:

Miss Dazzler last week: She nearly fell on the heavy ground at Kilmore. After 200 metres when she got badly checked. It knocked the stuffing out of her and she struggled to the post beaten about a dozen lengths? Unfortunately I don't think it will have done her too much good mentally - especially for a young horse.

I remember Lee Hope had the same thing happen to really nice ThornPark filly at Kilmore and she completely lost her nerve and never wanted to be there again. Poor little thing I hate seeing that happen to them especially at their first start.

Me and a few lads from here are in a syndicate that part owns Flying Omission, trained by D Weir. Had his first start today at Mildura, ran 3rd. Came out from the widest gate and settled last, seemed to lose a bit of contact with them and was a length or two off them at the turn, and only really got warmed up the last few hundred. I'm sure they will look to 1400m now and that should suit him a bit better than the 1200m. He's a Flying Spur / Erin Bee.
