Fantastic to have a top class son of Zabeel likely to stand & sincerely hope he's wisely utilised whether it be here or NZ Clap

Wonder how this family came to find its way to New Zealand? Could be a hard sell to the eastern states. Would be nice in WA........however

Despite a speedy pedigree I just do not think he has enough dash to be a marketable stallion.

I hope he succeeds, I love Zabeel and want to see him on the top line of pedigrees for as long as I am on this planet.

Interesting he's from the same female family (decend from White and Blue) as Savabeel.  Both are sons of Zabeel from a mare inbred to Star Kingdom.  Savabeel to the brothers Noholme and Todman.  While Preferment has Canny Lad (Biscay) and Aurealis (Kaoru Star).

Preferment has two Golden Slipper winners as the sire of his dam and granddam.  The next dam was by a Caulfield Guineas winner while the next dam is by Aurealis a stakes winner over 1200m and the sire of At Sea (Challenge S (thrice), Expressway S, Canterbury S (twice), Apollo S, Carrington S (thrice)) a very tough and hardy sprinter.  So there is no way that this pedigree is only one of stamina.

Perhaps he even has a touch more sprinter in him than Savabeel.

And yes I want Better Alternative to go to Savabeel.  It's not like Zabeel is available anymore and gee it would make an interesting pedigree.  Could be the Zabeel lines first Golden Slipper winner or another Melbourne Cup winner.  The female line has produced many superior stayers and some G1 sprinters like Ancient Song (Salinger S, Light Fingers S).  Would be interesting to see what that cross would produce.

Would be nice to see him end up at Cambridge, probably going to be one of the last chances Hogan will get at securing a group 1 winning son of Zabeel.

Ancient Lights 6 wins 1000m to 1600m. Her brother, Ancient Song 9 wins to 1300m gr 1 to listed, half brothers Royal Lott 14 wins to 1500m 3x listed ,placed gr2 and 3; Danzig Beau 13 wins to 1400m win and placed in listed. Hello Lottie 13 foals, 12 to race 11 winners.
The majority in WA which is why i said would be much appreciated in WA. If there is a progressive type of stud masterWink in WA!
Much, much more than stamina.

Interesting to see Black Heart Bart from this same White and Blue female line.  He's from a 1/2 sister to Savannah Success dam of Savabeel.

Much as I want him to stand here, it would be nice. I imagine they'd line up some choice mares for him too.

Love this boy (even more after Aus Cup! heehee). He seems to have a great temperament for a Zabeel male - I guess that's why he's kept his bits!

Old North another from this family - Lonhro/Octagonal/Zabeel.  Seems a good mix to me.  Offers another sire which Better Alternative could go to for an interesting pedigree.

You'll be happy to know that, according to the Studbook, Better Alternative has a Savabeel colt at foot, born November 28th last year.

Getting pretty late in the season for her now... 17yo... bought by Yulong i/f to American Pharoah for $750k, but that foal was lost to the world... fortunately he's got plenty, so unlikely to feel the pressure of a closing window of opportunity.

Not that they've got time to tinker, but Ocean Park would be an interesting one for her, bringing together a collection of mares by Zabeel, Vice Regal and Beau Sovereign, plus the Bahram/Dastur connection through Hello Lottie.

His small number of runners so far have shown enough to suggest he will make the grade.
