The major and really only sticking point is the Irish backstop. It is a transition period for Ireland to go to a soft border with Nth Ireland. With them remaining there are are excise and tariff issues with stuff moving between the two. Nobody wants a hard border fearing a return to cross border tensions. They decided in Brussels that a backstop  transition period is acceptable.

British parliamentarians think a transition period of between 6 months to 2 years is acceptable but the EU have demanded a longer period, not trusting Britain. May negotiated a date of 20xx, meaning potentially untill 2100 Britain are committed to EU rules and cannot negotiate free trade agreements on their own, committing to tariff loaded prices to deal with their current partners in Europe.
Only the best people.

There are 4 parts to the deal, 1.the citizens rights have been accepted by both sides, 2. the $39billion compensation pretty much agreed to, 3. the backstop and 4. future free trade agreements which are hanging on the backstop being settled.
Only the best people.

So the “citizens” don’t want Brexit? Or maybe we’re not quite sure. Geez could have saved saved an awful lot of hassle and just stayed with the EU in that case.

No need for you to act silly Judge - every election and referendum that they have held in the UK since the question was raised has reflected the desire of the people to leave the EU.

Now say something else that is completely pointless and irrelevant.

Actually they had one referendum, and leading up to that polls were predicting a remain win. The turnout for the referendum was less than for our postal plebiscite, and the margin much less decisive. Only a moron would argue one reflected the will of the majority and one didn’t.

All the polls since the referendum have Remain in front.

Whats the latest with wet fishing village England?
Are they thinking of invading another country yet, or begging for Hong Kong back?

They were gone before Boris took over. They will forever blame him, but they have been realising they are just a fishing village again for the past 5 years.

They were promised that they were leaving the EU and it would be smooth and everyone would be better off.

Until they get the deal sorted out it is a case of we will jump off this cliff and we will see how much damage we do landing.

Scotland’s highest court rules prorogation of parliament unlawful Scotland’s highest court has ruled that the prorogation of parliament was unlawful, reports Mure Dickie from Edinburgh. However, it said it will not seek to recall parliamentarians before the UK Supreme Court makes a final decision on the issue. Colin Sutherland, Lord Carloway, Lord President of Edinburgh’s Court of Session, ruled in a case brought by more than 70 parliamentarians to stop prime minister Boris Johnson from suspending parliament.

The Edinburgh court’s lower outer house had ruled last week that the prorogation was a matter of “high policy and political judgment” and not something that courts could pass judgment on. But Lord Carloway said the inner court’s judges had agreed it was unlawful. A draft of the court ruling said the prime minister’s decision to advise the Queen to prorogue parliament was “unlawful because it had the purpose of stymying parliament”.

Very selective comment Stayer.

Reality is that you could well exchange the name Johnson for Corbyn and you'd be whole lot closer to egotistica incarnate, and with chronic liar to boot.  Dead
