I've just read that on the acing forum that "dosage doesn't lie" with regard to Pinker Pinker winning the cox plate.  Now she's seems to have a true nicks rating of A++ variant 22.7, which is exceptional but her dosage profile is 1,2,3,0,0 index 3.00 and cod of 0.67..  How does that point to a classic wfa winner?

This is not a rhetorical question, I know I'm no expert on this stuff.

SJW, the dosage profile given to you is based on the Standard (US) index.

Her ANZ profile is in fact Brilliant 3 (via Todman and Speak John) : Intermediate 2 (Sir Ivor and Speak John): Classic 11 (Nureyev, Sir Ivor, Sir Tristram and Zabeel): Solid 0: Professional 4 (Zabeel) = Dosage 20.00, C of D 0.00, Dosage Index 1.11 = Miler/Middle Distance.

True enough the dosage does not show the figures for brilliance for the turn of foot we saw, her spint home through the pack was fantastic. She threw me and came from the outside barrier. Perhaps the speed influence comes through Hold your peace 8,18,23,2,1. and Zeditive 11,1,8,2,0 not being chefs the influences don't show.

Just to set the record straight.

Pinker Pinker:

DP: 11-6-11-0-4 (32)

DI: 2.37

CD: 0.63

Success Express (B/I) & Zeditave (B) were added to my A-NZ Keysires List a few years back.

IMO, those figures are not not a bad overview of the speed/stamina influences within her pedigree (much better than the US version anyway) & her DI is well within range for performances at that distance based on my (slightly outdated but still useful) figures.

John, dunno about Success Express but that's another issue.
More importantly, how long before Tesio (or whoever now owns the local brand-name) develops and markets an update which incorporates the new Chefs both here and overseas, let alone updates its sire and broodmare database?

It must be two years since I received anything whatsoever and that simply isn't good enough.  Angry

I think we have to add them ourselves. John H lets us know the new chefs, or you can check out Steve Roman

Forgetting Chefs for a moment Jayzaa, what about all the new sires and broodmares?
Or put another way, does Tesio.com.au no longer offer us anything?

And is the manual update of new ANZ Chefs an effective option in today's world?

go to top left hand corner and click on tesio symbol, click on tables, then chefs de race.
All the chefs will come up, scroll to the bottom and there is a blank line.  Add new chef, and date of birth,   the next is important, you must check every box, then uncheck the ones you don't want.
eg  if you want to put  a chef in the brilliant, intermediate category, check them, then check and uncheck all the others.  Then go to the top and press save

Aha!

Sounds like whoever recently bought out TesioPower might have done so with the explicit intent of actually killing the program in favour of another that they support - eg X-nicks, Group1 Nickelmine or whatever.

Thanks runfer.  That helps a lot.  I have a reset filly out of a rhythm mare and according to true nicks via the stallions website her profile is 6,1,7,0,0.  As with PP it seemed off.  I've read through the posts below so I'll get on tesio and get an education about this stuff.  It does seem odd that Stallions is providing resources on largely Australians stallions but uses a Northern hemisphere database.Confused

A guy called Patrick Brain has bought it.   He has a company called  'Brain International'  which specialises in 'you beaut'  mating matches.  From what I can gather he is basing his program on tesio.   I would imagine he is still selling the program, but I don't think he keeps it updated like Simon did.
