How could syndicators possibly buy and syndicate this horse? $50,000! At a ready to run sale as a 2yo, when it would be quite obvious what it’d grow into.

A front on picture probably taken with a mobile phone (what it looks like to me ) is never flattering to any horse, even the best of them, clearly it is out of proportion and not fair to judge it on this.
She wasn't shamed on her first start, not placed but only beaten 1.5L

Sold twice with a loss taken.

Loss all the way down -- if the breeder paid the full stud fee for More than Ready, they didn't recoup enough for the stud fee and mare care for the year she was in utero.

It's not to say she'll never be a useful racehorse -- but I stand by my assessment of putting her in a field to grow and strengthen before trying again.

nice mover, nice stride, really throws out the front legs, quite athletic, average time.

50k for nice breeding, ground work done.

maybe small but if she can run....

I've followed the directions and the bloody photo still didn't work. Sorry. Here's a link.

Thoughts? I'm no expert and my mate sent through this pic of a new horse he is involved in so I'm interested in opinions. Not sure on the breeding or anything but I'll chase that up with him.

It's a 3 year old Love Conquers All out of a Pins mare. He reckons it will still be a while before they race him as he's been a bit of a slow maturer.

what is a while to race?

3.5 and still have to wait?

the horse needs some "stress" even just to go through shin soreness.

is your friend an experienced owner?

very vague with the breeding....

Strong build, coarse thru the throatlatch and very straight in the shoulder. Shoulder set low. Nothing worrisome. I agree with businesslike 😊

I’m no expert but straight away I noticed the pastern/hoof angle in front don’t correspond? The horse does have very good bone though and good muscling in the forearm.

photo of a club foot on horse. Figure 17: A horse with a club foot on its right foot.
Another important consideration when examining the pastern angle is to check that the pastern angle and the hoof angle are approximately the same. A horse with a very steep hoof angle when compared to its pastern angle is said to be club-footed (Figure 17). This is undesirable because the steep angle of the horse's hoof will not only change the way it moves but also makes the horse prone to foot and leg lameness. Additionally, it is not desirable for the horse to have a hoof that is much more angled in comparison to the angle of the pastern.

She has good well set on neck and nice shoulder. Hip looks ok too. My worry would be from the front fetlock down.
Interested to see what others more experienced with soundness issues in young TB’s think?

nice enough strong bodied filly.

good strong australian breeding.

11k not a lot to spend, depending of course on your pocket.

break her in now, before the yearling sales happen, then leave her alone, to develop.

potentially a nice horse.

probably wont stay unsold for long.

If for sale now you'd have to wonder why she's not being offered in the upcoming yearling sales.

perhaps the seller feels this is the best place to get the best price.

not as much competition.

maybe the seller is a private one off yearling bred, wants to keep the mare and selling to finance future breeding.

and it keeps costing to keep for future sales!

Break her in now? She’s far too underdeveloped to be broken now.

you want a racehorse?

educate (not break her inWink) her now

put her out

not talk of putting into work

some stress on her body and watch her blossom.

and miss the rush of yearlings coming from the sales.

underdeveloped?

looks pretty solid and not overdeveloped for the sales, market

If you’re valuing it at $11,000 then the roughly $2,000 on sale entry fees and a sales prep don’t make it worthwhile either. The next sale with open entries would be roughly 4 months away - if they just decided to sell.
