Last night I dreamt I was at a racetrack, and bumped into a bloke I have not seen for years. He asked me, "did you back Pentify ?" I can't find a horse of that name. Is there anything close, you know of ? Unfortunately I don't know if "Pentify" won, but I got the feeling in the dream, it had won a race. I have dreamt a number of winners over the years, and weighed in heavily when the dream is unambiguous, but this one is not, really.

I don't know what "Pentify" agrees with most closely, but Petralia is a little too far off it. Dreams are strange things, but I have had quite a few dreams about race winners, and the success rate surprisingly good. In 2014 I dreamt that the Stradbroke was won by a horse "drawn off the track, like Linton last year". I unloaded on the few that were drawn widely, all roughies, and collected very handsomely.

An update on this, the fella in that dream has been popping up in my dreams a number of times, usually in a crowd, and I rarely speak to him, recently I had a more vivid one where I was in a conversation with him, But when I woke in the morning could not recall the content. I have probably had a dozen dreams over a period of a few years, where he features. The first one, he was sitting on what looked like a park bench, in what looked like a large old industrial area, where all the buildings had been demolished, and only the concrete floors remained. He said nothing. After the last one, I decided to see if I could find him, I eventually discovered he had died in 2016 at age 74. That is about the time these dreams started. I will keep on keeping an eye out for Pentify !
