Most of Vic. isn't much better off than your area either. We (B'rat) had an inch in Jan & 5mm last Thursday as the Feb. total.
For comparison, this has just come thru':

Hope you got your cool change PT.

That above mentioned rain lasted about as long as a snowball in hell.  But it started raining about 4pm yesterday and has rained ever since.  Nice steady soaking rain , so it will help the dams and creeks ,and fill the tanks,  and maybe get a bit of grass on the ground before the winter cold sets in.   This would be the first good rain in approx 9 months here.  I hope they are getting it over Scone way.

Hardly any rain here this year AA, just hot and humid until this last weekend. We got 180 mm with about 100 mm of it on Saturday. Just started again this afternoon so hopefully a bit of good soaking follow up. That amount in a short time mostly just runs off or evaporates and makes it uncomfortable again

Just had a couple of large storms run into each other over top of us, and we got about 2 inches of rain !  I think the last time we saw rain like that was 3 years ago !  The BOM shows more coming .

Area looks like those pics you see from the U.S. when tornados go thru.  8 houses totally demolished.  Others a mess.  We have had over 110ml here since Sunday.
I heard on the weather tonight that Dorrigo down to Bellingen had 150ml in a couple of hours.

Well its flogging down here and has been since 4am.  Too wet to get out to the rain gauge .   Paddocks covered in water already, and by the BOM there is more coming.  At least there are no houses down the end of the street that can float away any more.

Ouch we haven't seen 2 mm yet!  Leonay is in a rain shadow although we did get 27 mm last week when Penrith got 21mm.  I thought that was great.  Hope you don't disappear into a vast sea up there.  Why is it we get too much or not enough and never a happy medium.

Not according to the BOM 24 hour rainfall records furious. All down in the central to lower Hunter.

Towards the bottom of the chart:

I emptied the gauge yesterday arvo and it had 120 in it, and I have just emptied it again and it had 80 in it.  Thats a hell of a lot of water in 24 hours.  All the floods have gone down in town now but there were some worried people last night.  Thankfully they were on the ball this time and imported lost of SES on stand by.

my elderly mother is walking my daughter down the aisle, out in the elements, at Bulli on Sunday...

when we checked the weather a week ago it was going to be 25 and cloudy, possible shower....we were worried about her slipping...

bit by bit, over the week, the projected temperature has risen by a degree every day whilst we watched in dread after last Sunday's 39 degree day...now is projected to be 33 degrees and we are worried she'll get heat-stroke instead...
