I have no doubt he is Australia’s best sprinter if they can harness his brilliance!

It's a tough ask to have a week to get back to Syd and run against horses that have been preparing for 6 months in a race you get into at the last minute.

They got the slot because they were going to be the best at promoting the race but I don't think they've done a great job.

Australia's best sprinter?

C'mon mate, that's crazy.

If he ends up that then fantastic but no guidance to suggest he can or will be.

Huge run, had to work hard to get across from the deep, and to hang on for 4th was enormous

If he had drawn well, different finish no doubt

I am not sure Tiger.

They ran a track record and he would have been under 1.08 for the 1200m and that is him at his best.

I actually think it is his best run ever and do not forget he beat Sunlight by 8 lengths giving her 7 kilos one day.

Great effort!

Worked too hard early from the deep, just saying if he draws the paint, he would have had more in the tank at the finish

In saying that, the winner and second horse had nice economical runs, the ride of the winner was brilliant and Santa was stiff.

Plenty of stories to come out from that race.

They can not spell this horse, he is in the best form for a sprinter (outside Black Caviar) since Hareeba had his first string of wins.

Surely if he gets an invite he goes to Hong Kong!

You can not spell a horse in this high flying form!

I love this horse but did not expect him to win at 1200. WTF? Where did that stamina come from.

Relaxed down outside rail! No horses chasing him around a bend. I thought he might of taken him further away from field? Like on his own against the rail? The horse gets excited by competition. Choiser did something similar years ago? Also a very excitable horse. I have witnessed many that can do that down straight at Flemington

I thought this was the run of the entire spring carnival.
Even better than Lys Gracieux.

Nature Strip had it won, 1000m out.
Other horses were struggling 800m from the winning post.

It was dominant.

Did they go fairly quick or was it a slowly run race? Not sure it will rate high will it?
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

Time. 1-9-23. Out in 36-20, home in 33-03, a tempo leader dominated race going on times, no a knock as imo the best horse won on the day , Santa Ana Lane ridden by "P" plater .

The jockey reported the horse was ‘very anxious’ and ‘not himself’ pre race.

Have any Group or Listed Flem 1000m races been won by leaders for a long time? I'm pretty sure not tho' 1200m races, yes.
Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!
