The horse name that made me laugh the loudest was 'MASS'

Nothing the see here..... except is was out of a mare named 'DEBATED'

Was by Foreplay as well to boot. So extra points there!  Never got to race, but saw it by looking through Foreplay's named progeny on the Stud Book a few years ago. Have a look if you can - there are some crackers!

Sheena Avison to Racing Australia
7 hrs ·

Watching the Gold Coast trials and one horse was Whakarewarewa. I laughed at the pronunciation Wi Kari wi rewa rewa. I know it’s hard but in NZ WH is an F I would pronounce this name as Fooka rewa rewa fook as in hock.
Easy when you know how eh boy😜

You're right Centenarytest, it's surprising how many double meaning names of Foreplay's progeny got through. Over In Seconds and Beataroundthebush for starters.

Mullets are Back should have been out of Wishful Thinking though.

They obviously don’t open the urban dictionary or appropriate foreign dictionary when vetting names, wonder why?
As for Deep Field, we have one on the way out of Wild Hostess. A name, reminiscent of a popular well known movie of my parents era, is a shock tactic we use at the pub some Saturdays 😆😆😆 First few seconds blank, then the look they get on their face, classic!
I let my hubby do the talking 😉

Also is a Melb. based Italian restaurant & a member tells me Bottega Venet is a very expensive clothing accessories shop so could quite easily be a very innocent naming Smile
