Took my coffee to my classroom.

Interesting, because outside of the classroom, that is the demographic that has abandoned Labor and their identity politics and policies of envy - the hard working aspirational capital city middle ring people who voted for Hawke and Keating ... that is where the swings against Labor were consistently.

Aspirational?

Absolutely - the Mum and Dad property Investors, the Franking Credit recipients who want to keep off the pension, they earn $120k + p.a. and work for it - they rejected Labor's Wealth destruction policies, targeted theft, bribes and brow beating ove climate alarm, they were not indoctrinated to Socialism by Academia ... they used to be the real true believers ... and they still are - Labor abandoned them.

For crying out loud, understand the issue before you comment.
You don’t have a clue what you are talking about.
Give us a case study of one of these franking credit retirees that would have been victims, that you continually babble about.

I think you missed the bit about being in the same school for 20 years, doc. They're the types that move into the "teaching the teachers" industry if they make enough connections along the way.

Do it again with a 3 property limit and if you can't convince the great unwashed that people with more than 3 investment properties are not mum & dad battlers you deserve to lose again.

I get that stayer - sorry, I know they exist within the bubble - think I said "outside the classrooms" - I have a mate who is a HS DP and he turns into a beetroot when I point out to him how much worse off he would have been under a Labor Government ... but 30+ years in the system, and it's all "Climate Alarm" now ... the most he ever had to say about the climate 3 years ago was "nice day isn't it!" LOL

He has already reneged on low and middle income tax cuts unless he get $70 billion for his mates...now this.

PT i think we need to reach out to you. RUOK. You seem to be having problems letting go. All started back in the Gillard/Rudd years - & has continued to go downhill ever since. Never seen a bloke have so much bad luck predicting outcomes. I mean seriously - try flipping a bloody coin.

Well thank god the Australian public scrutinized the labor rubbish and gave it a miss.
But pt is not alone...I suppose they have to make themselves relevant.
You have a lot of soul searching to do pt, and mates.

but then this

Why the electorate of Bass changed hands again in federal election

Peter Richards voted for Labor for 40 years, but the 66-year-old Ravenswood resident gave the Liberals his first preference in last week's federal election.

Key points

  • Liberal candidate Bridget Archer ousted Labor's Ross Hart in the northern Tasmanian electorate of Bass
  • Figures from traditionally strong Labor booths showed strong swings against the ALP
  • Voter concerns about jobs fuelled the big swings in Labor heartland booths

"I don't trust Bill Shorten and I think Labor would have won if he hadn't been the leader," he said.

"If you can't get the people's trust, you're not going to get their vote either."Ms Perriotte is also dismayed by a lack of job opportunities for young people in Ravenswood.

"[Businesses have] all gone overseas because it's cheaper for them," she lamented.

"We don't make anything anymore, so you don't make anything you don't get any jobs, and you need jobs for people."

She was one of an increasing number of Bass voters to abandon the major parties for conservative minor parties.

Hey Isaac haven't you got a thread that you are badly neglecting? Someone has to keep us informed, aware and possibly terrified about the imminent Chinese invasion. Shocked

PS, except the ones who are Lib members and who make big donations and gifts of cash and Rolexes. Embarrassed

Hey PT ... don't blow your load 3 years out over nothing mate ... sit back, pay attention and enjoy learning something about leadership and responsible government.

Rather than foisting uncosted virtuous thought bubbles of envy on the great unwashed, "real" economic custodians - the government that the people chose - will consider everything.

They will reject the stupid stuff that the collective salivates over, and you will know if it is good policy, because your lot will try to block it ... you know, like tax cuts!

It's ok, we will be fine, so no need to be whipping yourself into a frenzy over nothing, relax and "green out man" ... leave all that to Albo and your dedicated circle club members.Wink
