Tasmania will join other Australian states with the introduce of a Point of Consumption Tax on wagering from January 1. The tax will take up to 15 percent of the net wagering turnover of betting companies on Tasmanian racing. ----------------------------- 15% , Surely they are kidding... The Gallopers are slowly dying, & difficult to see . Terminal illness can be very slow , but THE END eventually arrives . With a Bet on SPORTSBETTING , taking as little as 2.5% for the Pool . WHO WINS IN THE END. |

Am i missing something . Poker Machines are 15% also . But have a bet on the NRL you will pay 2.5% commission. |

Ahhh ... Thank You . I recalled the NSW Racing taxed Betfair on turnover & not profits . That would be for use of products .. I avoid NSW racing for that reason. Punters have some hurdles to overcome .. lol |
