More Joyous won her trial comfortably this morning.

Unless Gai has another plan, her first run will be the newly promoted G1 Canterbury Stakes at WFA (1300m) at Rosehill on the 23rd of March followed by the Queen of the Turf on GS Day and then the Doncaster.

ohn Singleton has booked his champion mare More Joyous in for a mating with the greatest racehorse in history and she will be accompanied by group 2 winner More Strawberries this year.

Strawberry Hills Stud's Duncan Grimley confirmed the two bookings. "We have the contracts and if More Joyous is retired she will go," Grimley said. "That still has to be decided but she has a booking. She will definitely go to Frankel the first year she goes to stud. There is not another first-season stallion in the world you would want to go to and we want to breed the best with the best."

Black Caviar's connections are dealing directly with Juddmonte Farm and are believed to be close to agreeing to take their unbeaten star to England this year also. That would mean a return to Royal Ascot in June, where she would race in the King's Stand Stakes. She won the Diamond Jubilee at the Royal Ascot meeting last year. No decision has been made if More Joyous could have a Royal appointment, too, but a couple of races are attractive options, including the Queen Anne Stakes, which opens the meeting, and the Golden Jubilee on the final day.

Frankel rewrote the record books in his unbeaten 14-race career, highlighted by an 11-length romp in the Queen Anne at Ascot. Timeform rated that performance at 147, the highest rating in its 65-year history. Black Caviar holds the highest rating for a mare by Timeform and is out to stretch her unbeaten record to 25 in front of a full house at Randwick on Saturday.

Punters could see the two great mares clash at Randwick twice if Singleton has his way. More Joyous had no luck in the straight in the Queen Of The Turf, being chopped out at the 300 metres only to fly late to run fifth behind Appearance.

''She's probably going to go down in history as dreadfully unlucky,'' chief steward Ray Murrihy said in the inquiry into the incident. Singleton put it down to what can happen in racing but issued a challenge to the owners of Black Caviar.

''Singo said he will run More Joyous in the TJ [Smith] if they commit to running in the All Aged,'' Grimley said. ''It would be fantastic for racing to see them clash, not once but twice.''

Think you'll find its Singo just talking it up.  100-1 of him actually going through with it.  She was unlucky yesterday and thats just racing.  No reason to change plan and rearrange the campaign ahead.

She has a rising 4 year old who has had 1 start for 1 win (and who is bred to need time) and a rising 3 year old who is due to race soon. Can't see anything wrong with her record so far.
