Hey lads, welcome to the first harness preview on Thoroughbred Village.

Racing tonight is at Moonee Valley with a nice 9 race card.

The first kicks off at 6:30pm in what looks like a good night of racing, providing the weather holds off.

Race 1 VERMONT PANELS TROT
6:30 PM
TM0 only. RBD.   Prizemoney: $14,000

Tricky race to kick off the night. 12 - False Gem is the class horse who ran well against much stronger opposition last weekend. From the draw it looks a tough ask. Likewise with 11 - Running Pinevale who ran well last week behind Sunnana Asset. Both look good each way value if they can overcome their respective draws.

Rating(s)

12 - False Gem
11 - Running Pinevale
4 - Conquer All
8 - Earl Of Mot

Race 2 WWW.ID08.COM.AU PACERS HANDICAP
7:00 PM
M0 or better. RBD.   Prizemoney: $14,000

Fair race this, plenty of chances so there is alot of value if you can pinpoint the winner. Rip and Roar from the standing start looks tempting if he can get away cleanly. The ever consistent Unicycle may be under the odds but if you can shop around and get better than each way value he may be the key to this race from a good draw.

Rating(s)

9 - Rip and Roar
2 - Unicycle
8 - Schonbrunn
4 - Amazing Albert (PLACE)

Race 3 RENOWN SILVERWARE - THE GOLDEN REIGN
7:32 PM
M1 Or Better. PBD/M.   Prizemoney: $20,000

Great race! The luckless Conte Centovalli ran a game 5th last week behind the more than capable Conte De Cristo over the short trip. This distance suits more and if he holds the lead from the pole he could fill a place at odds. The key factor is that Lance justice jumps onto the short price favourite Smooth Crusa who was very unlucky in the Victoria Cup 7 days ago. He has a massive drop in class but the odds dont resemble any value for mine. Larado and Bold Cruiser are next best.

Rating(s)

7 - Smooth Crusa
1 - Conte Centovallii
5 - Larado
3 - Bold Cruiser

Race 4 MELBOURNE CITY TOYOTA PACE
8:02 PM
M0 Only. RBD.   Prizemoney: $14,000

The first leg of the quaddie is very tough. These are not really metro class horses but we have to find a winner in this lot! Looks like Lani won well a few weeks back when it had momentum up on the home turn and flashed home to just beat Camlight by a nose. The draw is against so it may be safe to have a place wager on Looks Like Lani. Alamode ran very well in much stronger company but the second row draw makes it tough. He can sit on the back of some and really unwind in the straight to get a well deserved victory.

Rating(s)

9 - Alamode (STRAIGHT OUT/EACH WAY)
10 - Looks Like Lani
2 - Miss Tweek
3 - Thats The Spirit

Race 5 RYDGES NORTH MELBOURNE 4YO PACE
8:30 PM
C1 To C4.4YO. PBD/C.   Prizemoney: $8,000

Royal Shiraz is in sparkling form and this is not a strong affair. Nickdal is racing well and you can forgive its last start 7th. Ace Stride is going for three wins in a row but the draw is against.

Rating(s)

1 - Royal Shiraz
5 - Nickdal
11 - Ace Stride
6 - Run Riley Run

Race 6 2CONSTRUCT TROTTERS HANDICAP
9:00 PM
TM1 or better. PBD/TM.   Prizemoney: $14,000

Good race for the trotters here in which i really fancy Lenny Lewis who ran a terrific race against the top liners 7 days ago. He flies from the standing start and looks a top each way prospect in this line up. Right Interest was never in the race last week when he galloped and was never sighted over the short course distance behind Galleons Sunset. Viva La Fever will find it tough from the 20m handicap likewise will Steffi Jay from gate 12.

Rating(s)

8 - Lenny Lewis (EACH WAY)
3 - Right Interest
13 - Viva La Fever
12 - Steffi Jay

Race 7 HANKOOK TYRES PACE
9:30 PM
M1 to M2. PBD/M.   Prizemoney: $14,000

The draws play a key role in this race; if Conte De Cristo had drawn the front row he would have been a special. Zerrafoss was luckless last weak when he struck trouble and was put out of contention on the turn. King Caesar is a consistent performer who can win. Yes I Can is also a chance at his best.

Rating(s)

10 - Conte De Cristo
8 - Zerrafoss
7 - King Caesar
5 - Yes I Can

Race 8 MHRC VICTORIA SIRES CLASSIC (GROUP 3)
10:00 PM
3YO. RBD.   Prizemoney: $40,000

Crusaders Castle the one to beat unfortunatly for Tanabi Bromac who keeps running into potential top liners. Sledging was a good run last week and a repeat on that performance will see him in the finish again.

Rating

3 - Crusaders Castle
5 - Tanabi Bromac
8 - Sledging

TRIFECTA STRAIGHT OUT

Race 9 SEW-EURODRIVE VICBRED PACE
10:30 PM
M0 only. PBD/$L6.   Prizemoney: $14,000

Mcllhatton the one to beat here at good odds. Dangers are Luv The Aces Lombo, Unique Style and Fulton.

Rating(s)

5 - Mcllhatton
10 - Luv The Aces Lombo
6 - Unique Style
4 - Fulton
