Results after Week 5:

Relampago - 96.50
Morgan - 86.40
Kinsasha - 80.10
Toledo - 75.50
NoDebt - 72.20
Mr_Willy - 68.50
KangaMick - 62.60
Jolls - 61.30
Questions - 47.20
wilsd004 - 42.20
Go Flash Go - 38.30
Peter B - 27.20

Stewards Report: Morgan continued his littel charge he started midweek, now sitting up ouside the leader. With him taking gaps through the field it has cause a small chain effect with numerous runners changing in order by +/- 1 position. A few have made good ground in the including Jolls and Nodebt. PeterB, who stewards were worried was being deliberately pulled up seems to have found his love for racing by posting a treble (Including his first win for the comp!!!) This week sees the Cox Plate which normally sorts the men from the boys!!!

Results after Week 6 - Cox Plate:

Relampago - 111.60
Kinsasha - 110.70
Morgan - 97.70
NoDebt - 87.20
Mr_Willy - 80.30
Toledo - 79.70
KangaMick - 78.00
Jolls - 77.70
Go Flash Go - 62.10
wilsd004 - 49.60
Questions - 48.80
Peter B - 34.60

Stewards Report: Well it seemed Relampago wanted to skip away from the field again early in this one, the first 3 winners of the day, and it looked as though he may have caught them napping... Until a huge get by Kinsasha nailing So You Think in the plate and BB to boot!!! This move by Kinsasha has him breathing down the leaders neck with only a nostril seperating them... There was also a move from midfield, with MangaMick and Jolls both Posting a treble to help bunch the field behaind the leaders, Mr_Willy felt the pressure and responded posting a double to not only hold off KangaMick and Jolls but also move past Toledo in the process. NoDebt seemed to be under pressure for the entire time (no winners) yet seemed to repond to riding still managing to post a respectable score (thanks to Governanace placing at $7.50) and move through the field. Small move at the back from Go Flash Go (thanks to So You Think), has moved from second last to try and tack onto the midfield bunch...

Great competition mate!

Always makes it better when theres a few $$ to win, keeps people tipping each week unlike the free ones where people stop posting tips after a few weeks.
I hope that when I die, people say about me, "Boy, that guy sure owed me a lot of money."

Gota give Relamp credit for the effort he is putting in
Going by the comments would say all players are enjoying it
As Morgan says better than the tip for fun comps for bragging rights
Look foward to the challenge each week - couple nice price winners would seal it - even better five!!

Results after week 6:

Relampago 125.10
Nodebt 123.20
Kinsasha 116.30
Morgan 114.00
Toledo 111.20
KangaMick 99.00
Mr_Willy 97.80
Jolls 92.60
Go Flash Go 87.70
wilsd004 66.00
Questions 48.80
PeterB 47.80

Stewards Report: Well with 3 furlongs (race days) to go the field are all bunching as they enter the straight... Relampago has lead the field for nearly the entire trip, has he thrown the anchor out and now looking to explode, or has he spent his pennys. NoDebt has moved from the one/one in fourth to challenge for the lead. Kinsasha Morgan and Toledo have been applying the pressure up front and all look strong in running... KangaMick Mr_Willy and Jolls have pushed up behind the leading bunch all looking for a split to make their move, Go Flash Go is tacking onto that bunch. I suggest the rest of the field (wilsd004 Questions and PeterB) cant win from there!

Results after Cup Day:

Relampago 132.40
Nodebt 123.20
Morgan 120.90
Kinsasha 119.00
Toledo 111.20
Mr_Willy 110.70
KangaMick 101.90
Go Flash Go 98.50
Jolls 97.80
PeterB 83.80
wilsd004 74.20
Questions 54.90

Stewards Report: As the pressure is applied at the 400m Relampago has responded to desperate riding, and with a little luck may have shot clear...NoDebt was caught napping and missed the move but still holds second, Kinsasha caught napping by Morgan has pushed out of the pocket to get a trail and a crack at the leaders... KangaMick's recent surge may have taken it out of him as his progress seemed to slow, with Mr_Willy going past him... Go Flash Go has moved up outside Jolls and shades him a touch... But the big move is coming from last, Peter B nearly doubled his score (granted it was low) in one days betting and may have been saving himself for one final burst, only thing against him is he will have to circle the entire field.

KangaMick 101.90
PeterB 83.80
wilsd004 74.20
Questions 54.90

Stewards Report: 200m to go and Relampago still leads, but challengers coming thick and fast... Morgan continues to surge at the leader, slowly but surely gaining ground. The pressure has taken its toll on a couple, NoDebt seems to have peaked on his run just short of the post, and KangaMicks midfield move seems to have him caught in traffic while other get the free run... Toledo has tacked onto Morgans back to continue his impressive run. The only other two that seem a chance with late moves are Mr_Willy and Jolls, both seem to be hitting their straps late, but did they get too far back off a slow pace??? Jocks dont forget the allowed strikes of the whip from the 200 to the 100 but then fell free to throw the kitchen sink at it to get the prize.... GOOD LUCK

Just out of interest, after all the races have been run this Saturday, there would have been a total of 69 races run over 11 race days. Therefore the following calculations are:

69 races @ $1 E/W = $138
11 BB @ $1 E/W (on top of the original bet) = $22

Total investment over the carnival would be = $160

There for the only one who would be gauranteed of a profit it they did this themselves would be ...NO-ONE... A couple might pass the mark this weekend, but a majority won't....

Good example as to to why you shouldn't bet on EVERY RACE!!!!

I was actually wondering about the total profit/loss for the whole comp.

Aren't we all shockers.  I hope at least one person turns a profit.

And at least I beat Questions, who couldn't even pick his nose at the moment!!

Who would have been mad enough to bet on some of those races though. Some were impossible, just a lot of horses thrown together for the public to have a bet.
Anyway l'm climbing the ladder in the comp. Big smile trouble is everyone else is too. Angry
And l think there's a leader bias on this track as well, time to get the jigger out, l mean the formguide Shocked

Final Standings.....

Relampago 150.50
Morgan 140.70
Jolls 139.80
Mr_Willy 136.50
Toledo 129.20
Nodebt 125.40
Kinsasha 119.00
Go Flash Go 107.70
KangaMick 101.90
PeterB 83.80
wilsd004 74.20
Questions 54.90

Stewards Report: Relampago holds on out in front, after jumping the gates a little slowly, he has managed to lead the field around in this prestigous event without being caught. Morgan tried gallantly to catch the front runner but it took its toll late with him just plodding late, lucky to actuaaly hold his spot in sencond by a nose. We noticed the next two runners making really good ground in the previous furlong, Jolls put on a turn of foot to match All Silents performance, however he seemed to set him self too big a task and narrowly missed second placing. Mr_Willy, who carted Jolls into the race, tried to match the turn of foot but the jock saw the move a tad too late to be an eycatching run fourth. The next three in running tried to apply pressure a long way out in an attempt to crack the leaders and make it a true test, however Toledo, NoDebt and Kinsasha only managed to undo themselves, all not quite staying the trip. Go Flash Go was always trying just to tack onto the back of the midfield bunch, however, he just couldn't quite go with them when the whips were cracking (inside the allowed amount of course). KangaMick tried to make a run, but when a tiring horse fell into his lap he seemed to end his run. PeterB was miles off the pace early, and after a surge coming round the home turn, just wacked away to make sure he stayed in front of a couple of others. wilsd004 couldnt match the efforts of his stablemate (Mr_Willy) looking for that dream run on occassions only saw him shuffled back in the pack and going no-where. Last in Questions who clearly through in the towel at the top of the straight, stewards will seriously consider his class before allowing him to enter this sort of field again...
