As of 2020 the Cup will be reduced to 2400m and a field limit of 16

Prizemoney will be increased to $8 million

They are also looking at relaxing the rules of racing so more people get invovled.
Apparently you don't need a trainers licence to enter your horse.
As long as you live within 5km of your horses and are prepared to wear a Top Hat on raceday you are eligible to
to enter and race your horse.

Apparently Bi-Carb, Argon and Zenon can be used by any trainer who is based outside the Ballarat city limits.

LOL   I got caught ...    When I logged on and saw the Cup was to be reduced to 2400 .....        I LOST IT >>.   Big time .
