2 hr return float trip would’ve done the world of goood.
Plus he earned $600 for today’s ‘gallop’.

Your on the money there Shawy38 imo, that has been my contention all along, I hope he gives him another couple of runs over a similar journey as he won't pull he'll settle better and if need be let him slip another furlong or two after the post on the bit, he knows the job in front of him there's no delusions there at all, but I've always admired a tryer, this is a hard caper , plenty of brickbats and very little bouquets imo.

Very poor on face value.
I don’t know his history, but perhaps he is a bleeder.
Looked like he might’ve had some internal issues today.

Nice easy ride. When he was not going to be in the finish the Jock just ambled to the line.

He'll be fine.

the trainer has completely written off any chance the horse had of winning another race after backing it up too quickly after its first up run.  Training horses needs patience and none has been shown here

This horse has spent little time on the racetrack due to tendon issues, Why do they persist? He’s breakdown material, bad PR for racing?

Stewards report suggests he jarred up on the firm track.

I believe the plan is to send him to Warrambool in May for jumps race.
Now to get him jumps qualified

He is 100% sound.
Just doesn’t like hard tracks.
Once he find a track with some give in it, he will improve rapidly

100% sound but doesn't like hard tracks = sub clinically lame, most likely fetlock &/or knee joints but wouldn't discount feet too.
Age, training & racing result in wear & tear with imports not being renowned for their resilience.

Nothing wrong the horse imo, just a bit tubby
Needs a few more races to kick him into gear IMO

Grant Young can certainly train a horse with a winning percentage of 20% for his last 50 runners.

No current nominations for LWC so they may well be waiting for softer tracks, however being beaten out of sight on Good 4's against moderate opposition doesn't exactly fill you full of confidence.

Apparently the trainer was indisposed when the horse had his first 3 or 4 runs back, so maybe matters will improve with him back on deck.

👏👏👏 I am SO happy to hear that. Dreading to hear he had broken down again. Gorgeous horse
