escado  for me

drops 2.5 kilos from an eye catching 6th beaten 2.5L behind Hvasstan last start (meets him 2 kilos better)
extra 100m should suit
placed 2 from 2 at the track (both at 1400m)

worth an e/w nibble in a very open race

Final Rankings.

1. Priority Road. 70. Looking for longer but the 1800m and the big track suits. God run at stakes level in the autumn and can win here.

2. Tatra. 68. Form is better than most here except maybe for the top one, but still not sure about him.

3. Phillipi. 67. The trainer has said that he thinks this might be the best horse of his duo but he is still a prep away so still green and needs to do everything right here to win.

Add ins for the trifecta are Hvasstan (65, looked good at Caulfield, but draw is a huge concern), Escardo (65, going well and should get a nice run from gate and the 1800 should suit) and Jimando (65, going well and for mine he is probably the value in the race).
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

Phillipi v Tatra.

Neither has drawn well but they have lengths on these.

3 less than glamourous 3yos I've been keeping an eye on - Right To Roam, Pins of Pele and Costa Nova - all clash here. No idea which of them is best, let alone if any are good enough to win this. Gear changes + nice draw + back to Flemington for Right To Roam probably sees him the best chance of those. Barrier kills CN. PoP wasn't too badly beat up by Hvasstan.. Fingers crossed at least 1 of them runs alright LOL

Tatra should be winning though. Loved his form in Sydney this prep, classy, professional, good odds considering. Guess the distance is the query, but has been racing like he's going to be looking forward to it.

Very good run, got too far back and took a while to get clear running in the straight, when he eventually did hit the line very well, 5th beaten around 2L.

no cigar today, but 1 to follow imo.
