2/29 @ Happy Valley as of race 5 tonight and hasn't ridden a winner in his last 22 races there. He has decent chances in the last two races tonight but they aren't 15-1 that's for sure.

The run of outs continues. Now 2/32 and no winners from his last 25 rides at HV. Moreira apologists who would be on their knees for an entirely different reason if they've been backing him. They'd end up with HPV at from the Moreira HV 'experience'.

What was wrong with the ride? Set Sambro a bit of a task but Mackintosh simply wasn't up to it. Stewards might want to ask those jockeys out the back what was going on. Walker tore them a new one.

Nit picking and/or paying too much attention to the caller's view. Could have slipped him fractionally more rein maybe but the horse travelled well enough and couldn't sprint when CU did on the corner. Had his chance but simply not going as well as he can. Beaten too far to blame the jockey.

That was one of the worse falls I've seen and I thought the worst at first.
Seeing Joao Moreira walk away and hearing good reports re the horse..... two massive reliefs.

No idea what happened. The fallout will be interesting.

Little to do with the race plan Max. They put Joao up because he's one of the best in the business and took Heartbreak City to a head from a similar barrier last year. Experience, judgement, cool head cxanbe the diff between a result and finishing down the track.
