Rushed tips, busy as hell this week. Not using that as an excuse for a poor night, as the less study I do the more chance I have of tipping winners given my inability to find winners when studying!!!

(Reminder) So the field settles and it's Big Gib in front, from DIamonds At Dusk, Grinners A Winner, Melb Steve, well back to Ecair Issoire, Jazzman on his back, and the two who locked wheels Mowie and Peter B...

(Week 2)

Big Gib shows the way, two winners and four placegetters and a score of $15.30 on week 2 has him cruising along out in front, Diamonds At Dusk, who was second but a fair way from the super-fast Big Gib in week 1 has pushed through to be within striking distance of Big Gib on the back of two winners and two placegetters in week 2, including a $3.90 best bet which nets him 19.50 (nice!).
A week 2 score of 29.20 has Diamonds At Dusk hard up on the back of Big Gib now.
Now there's an early move here, it's, hang on, it's Peter B, my gee whiz, out of nowhere after horribly making a mess of the start he's steaming around the outside and he's going to have a crack for the lead! Surely not. He's snared a 30.10 winner, a $2.60 best bet and a $5.90 placegetter in week 2 for a score of 60.90, he's charged to the lead!! From last to first early. Wowee. Imagine if Purplepeopleater had won and not just run second at 5.90 the place...
So it's now Peter B in front, Big Gib second and Diamonds At Dusk third, they're in Indian file for this long race.
Fourth is Grinnersawinner, whose 19.70 in week 2 has him close enough if good enough.
A further $9 back is Melb Steve, who almost doubled his week 1 tally in week 2. He's running fifth.
Jazzman is well back and third last. He's not not using up too much petrol early on, but hello, he's had to hook wide to get around Eccair Issoire, who has made a mistake. Jazzman's 13.64 (Cincinnati Kid $1.04 the place? Please...) takes him to 20.84 all up.
That mistake of not putting the tips in has Eccair second last now, though he's still managed to net 8.90 in week 2. And Mowie, who mucked up the start, is still struggling to find his feet. In fact he's broken gear, I think, yep, I think he's going to have be pulled out... Hang on, no, just seeing things, he's  got all the gear in the right place he's just a very slow beginner.

LADDER
PETER B: 2.10 + 60.90: $63
BIG GIB: 42.20 + 15.30: $57.50
DIAMONDS: 25.20 + 29.20: $54.50
GRINNERS: 22.10 + 19.70: $41.80
MELB STEVE: 11.30 + 20.74: $32.04
JAZZMAN: 7.20 + 13.64: $20.84
ECAIR ISSOIRE: 9.10 + 8.90: $18
MOWIE: 2.10 + 6.64: $8.74

Interim ladder (pending any protests...) Hope my calculations are all good. Any queries, sing out!
Istidaad kicking strongly, he's 2 lengths clear, Crawl gets out from a well back and old Mustard is grinding home... Hang on, Treasury Notes gets out from the back and she'll blouse them all!

ODM... Wink

I'm positive this race will be won by a swooper given the early moves. Though at the same time, I think it's a leader's track...

Good call about the quaddie, for sure. Though if you'd left my tips (and dare I say it, Mowie's) out last couple of weeks you would have got a higher percentage of the dividend. Wink

11 weeks to go!

That's awesome. Talk to the Hands was a great get. Watched the replay in Purplepeopleater's race a few times, and you very nearly nailed that too! Great tipping.
