Brains and class GFG?  You certainly can't be referring to Hird who lacks both in spades despite all his  publicity rhetoric?  Confused

Failed his university course.

Failed his stockbroker employer and was duly sacked.

Failed and forever lost the friendship of the previous Essendon President.

And most horrendously failed his playing staff.

A great footballer and a reasonable coach, but a seriously failed person.

What's with the baseball bat again juno, gosh you're tough. With your own sporting background you may know more than what has come out in the media.

But l'll back them (Essendon and Hird at this stage) even if just for the way they stood up and said hey that's enough ... after complying with penalties to only then be hit with more requirements all based on nothing more than fluff really.

... my own little paradise ... juuunoh !

The only fluff is what's between your ears Bill. ASADA hasn't yet imposed penalties as you no doubt know (roflmao). It will (should) do what is required by the international code and offer 6 months+ bans. To do otherwise would bring Australian sport into disrepute and make us - rightly - drugs in sport pariahs.

Before you offer your oh so informed views on topics you know little about do try and learn the basics. Here's a decent summary for you to get up to speed.
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/essendon-players-escape-sanction-its-hard-to-see-why-20130801-2r10f.html

We don't know what ASDA will rule or do with regard to sanctions but we (okay not you) are pretty well informed about what went on at Essendon and the roles certain people played.

Have only read the headline, but Watson wants Hird to stay away from the club (this year)?
Would this (more than likely) have come about after talking to his son?
If so what are all the Essendon players thoughts (especially the jabbed ones) on Hirds return?
Interesting times for the Bombers, but Little is a very, very astute man as well.
Our strawberries seem to go best with manure on them.

The whole issue began with a headline and been about that deep.

Hard to issue penalties without evidence (just a little matter) 3BM

I guess it would appear so to someone who who hasn't followed the issue let alone someone with limited intellect who refuses to read the kilometres of words  already written. Nevertheless thanks for your in-depth analysis of the situation.

Given your undoubted capability for deep, rational, adult thought perhaps it's time you took your head from between your legs and took some notice of what's been going on for the many months you've been studiously examining your alimentary canal. ASADA has recently given a number of show cause notices to players based on the evidence they have and certain admissions (we may -rightly - never know the full extent of ASADA's data), and Essendon has tried to circumvent the process by challenging ASADA's legal right to conduct what it claims is a joint investigation. This of course has nothing at all to do with the issue but nothing ventured nothing gained. They have to be seen to be supporting the players whose futures the club put at risk. In the unlikely event that their challenge is successful the issue won't simply go away like they hope. I daresay in fact the reputation of Essendon FC will be further diminished and the sympathy many have for the players involved will evaporate.

Plenty think James Hird will not return as coach.  I'm with them and I'll add that even if EFC give him the option he should decline. He chose the path of denial when admission and contrition might have been a wiser choice.

Yes the leaked text messages were apparently just a figment of our imaginations and Jobe Watson's admission was a public lie forced upon him by a rampaging AFL. Thus he was prepared to tarnish his own reputation and fall on his sword for the good of Essendon?, Hird?, the AFL?, all of the above?, none of the above?  The whole point of this challenge is not about the truth of the Essendon drug progam but about the legal rights of ASADA +- the AFL to conduct such an investigation.

Let me remind you of just a couple of things in the public domain. ASADA undoubtedly knows FAR more. Draw your own conclusions.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/essendon-captain-jobe-watson-admits-he-believes-he-took-a-banned-drug/story-fni5f6kv-1226669045577?nk=ae7f62b76651d007794c4f83d613cbfa

"ESSENDON great Tim Watson remains confident the Bomber players will be given the all-clear following ASADA's investigation into the club's supplements program.

Watson's belief, citing confidential information he has been made privy to, follows his son, Jobe's revelations on Fox Footy last night.

The Essendon captain said he took a drug he believed to be AOD-9604 - a substance since confirmed as banned under anti-doping rules.

But Watson hinted there was more to the investigation - in favour of the Dons - than what has already been made public.

"They were given this as part of their supplement program... but they (Essendon) and the players are certain that they haven't taken a banned substance," Watson told SEN this morning.

"I guess the contentious thing here will be whether or not it's a banned substance and whether or not the information they were given at the time about it being a banned substance and the properties of AOD."

and...............

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-04-11/hird-given-drug-report

"THE FURORE surrounding the relationship between Essendon coach James Hird and sports scientist Stephen Dank has been further inflamed after details of text message conversations allegedly conducted between the two were aired on The ABC's 7.30.

In the texts, which have not been verified by AFL.com.au, Dank refers to intravenous, or "IV", treatments - which could be banned under World Anti-Doping Agency and AFL rules.

On March 9, they reportedly had the following exchange:
Hird: "Good work today mate, the boys were up and about, we have a lot to work with.
Dank: "IVs start next week and Thymosin with Uniquinon. We will start to see some real effects.

Then between March 27-28:
Dank: "That is the IV list that will be completed by Wednesday night.
Hird: "Good work mate, (name deleted) rang me tonight and said how good he felt after he saw you."

On April 3, Dank detailed more substances:
"We have cerebrolysin, we will re-oxygenate and re-circulate the brain. We will also be getting Solcoseryl."

Also in April:
Dank: "All IV and injections completed.
Hird: "Great work mate, it would be a great effort to have them feeling fresh for Anzac Day."

"We're shocked to be sitting here."  LOL

"When the truth comes out myself and the club will be in a very strong position." LOL

Hird the turd huh? After what he said yesterday he ha clearly distanced himself from the club. He doesn't care about coaching any more nor will he, he's just hell bent on clearing his name and doesn't care who he steps on to do so. Such a low life prick. Does anyone else reckon Tania Hird's mouth resembles an Christmas pudding?

CONCLUSION

497    In my view, ASADA complied with the rule of law in establishing and conducting, in the manner and for the purposes it did, the investigation.

498    In addition, ASADA lawfully provided the Interim Report to the AFL, which has subsequently been acted upon by the AFL in bringing disciplinary charges against Essendon and Mr Hird.

499    On the basis of the reasons I now publish, the applications of Mr Hird and Essendon are dismissed.

500    In each application the Court orders the following:

(a)    The application is dismissed.

(b)    Unless a party notifies in writing the Court by 4.00 pm on Wednesday 1 October 2014, indicating opposition to this order as to costs, the Applicant pay the Respondent’s costs of and in connection with the proceeding to be taxed in default of agreement.

I certify that the preceding five hundred (500) numberedparagraphs are a true copy of the Reasons for Judgment herein of the Honourable Justice Middleton.

Associate:

Dated:    19 September 2014
