Only a BM 74 today. Let's see what he's capable of against 90+ opposition before getting too excited.

Tidy effort to finish 4th in a G1 after coming straight out of midweek BM class.

Will be interesting to see what CJW & OTI have got in mind for him next.

Is the St Leger weekend or the one after.

If he were mine and he came out of each race fine my program would be The St Leger, Moonee Valley Cup and if he has snuck in, the big one.

Probably goes to the St Leger, but I can see him running well in a Lexus.

Even money fave for the City Tattersalls Club Cup on Saturday at Randwick.

Bart used this race a few times over the years to sneak some lightweights into the Melb Cup field (Rebbor, Grandmaster, Perpetual Check) and Maluckyday used it en route to his win in the Hotham Hcp & 2nd in Melb Cup. And of course the great Lord Hybrow won the race in 1987 before the first of his 3 cracks at the Melb Cup.

Hopeful that High Bridge can win on Sat and again in the Hotham Hcp in 2 weeks and then make the final 24 for the Cup.

Not really. Shocking, Maybe Better & Maluckyday all had 3 starts in the same 3 week time frame.

He did nothing when resuming in the Parramatta Cup a few weeks ago.

But it’s interesting that CJW has snuck this guy south for the Mornington Cup on Sat, with Linda Meech aboard.

I am thinking the combination of the 2400m and the drier track might have helped in the decision.

I think Waller also thinks that winning Sydney Cup may not get you into a Caulfield Cup, with more and more internationals aiming at that race, so he wants the gold ticket in.

My info is he will not run at under 2400m again this prep, as he either goes Chairmans into Sydney Cup or he heads to the Andrew Ramsden.

Good to hear he’ll be campaigning at 2400m+ from now on.

But the Ramsden Stks over 2800m is one race he won’t be going to. I’m pretty certain it’s restricted to horses that are 3,4 or 5yo’s

Has been disappointing this autumn, but was finishing off well in the Lord Mayors Cup over 2000m last start to be 6th only beaten 2 Len.

Gets a good track again today & getting back up to 2400m, I think he’s a good each way bet at 25/1.

Well being on him each way, I should be happy with my $5.00 for the place, but what might have been!

Will be hard to beat in the Sydney winter staying events in the coming months, like the Winter Cup 2400m & Stayers Cup 3200m.   And if he can get a Good track, maybe even a Queensland Cup 3200m at Eagle Farm would be a nice option.

High Bridge is an old favourite of mine.

Looks really well placed to pick up a feature race today with the Xmas Cup at Randwick today.

Was excellent 1st up, is suited at the 2400m & last campaign was mixing it with the likes of Hush Writer & Azuro (both black type winners this Spring).

Disappointed to see CJW has opted to run this guy at Flemington today rather than at Morphettville.

He would’ve torched that field in the Lord Reims today & would have been a perfect opportunity for the old boy to pick up a black type race.

Instead he runs at Flemington in a much harder race against 2 other stablemates

Ran honestly for 4th at Flemington today in the Roy Higgins Qlty - earning $6,300 prizemoney.

But geez, if he went around in the Lord Reims Stks at Morphettville he would have been an odds on fave in a really weak G3 race & likely won by panels for the $76,800 prizemoney.

Whoever looks after CJW’s race placement down south has erred here. Especially with the 2 stablemates finishing just ahead of him in 2nd & 3rd

Had been shown as Spelling after he pulled up lame last start but this has now been updated to Retired.  Not surprising given hes now a 9yo.

Whilst he never cracked it for a black type win here in Aust, he managed few good placings in the McKell Cup, Stayers Cup & Bagot Hcp.

Hope he has a nice retirement Clap
