similar to the thread i'cemen 'but have been pondering this since the other week when the blues fought back after 3/4 time to win and then to do it again the last weekend:
Not just people like Tiger Woods but team efforts ie Qld SOO sides have a way of fighting back and overcoming odds to win.
What would everyone rate the greatest sports turnarounds in say the last decade?

Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

There was some lowly american football game that i have seen, one team was up by 50 or more points and the other team came back to snatch the lead with 30 seconds to go!!!!! but then the early leaders got a touchdown on the siren!! pretty amazing stuff.

blake, it was a high school game. the commentary is hilarious "OH GOD NO, THOSE POOR KIDS, I AM SICK IN THE STOMACH".

The other american football comeback is the one where John Elway is playing in his college team, is 4 and 24 with 30 seconds left, throws a hail mary which is caught in field goal range. Kick the goal, lead by 1 point with only enough time left on the clock to kick off. The other team returns it for a TD passing it like a rugby team. The funniest thing is the band from Elways team is on the field celebrating after the field goal as they thought they had it in the bag.

A couple of great games were the Roos V Essendon in about 99 or 2000, where Roos were about 9 goals up and got done.

Another might have been a bit earlier where the Saints were about 60 odd points up against the Hawks part way through the second quarter and lost.

Both were great comebacks.

I think people are quick to forget the feats of Lance Armstrong, now he may have been pumped upto the eyeballs but to basically come back from his death bed and do what he did was amazing.

Steve Jackson, what a legend...

What about the guy in the 10000 metres in Munich or Montreal who fell badly, lost a whole heap of ground, yet picked himself up and scored a famous victory.
