Impressive winning yesterday. By Dundeel so good chance will stay the 2400m of the ATC Derby. Was only 2nd up so should improve. In the right stable in Ciaron Maher.

Made a long sustained run too. Not sure he beat much, the Guineas will be the A grade form, but impressive.

I loved the fact they are talking the possibility of going straight to the Rosehill Guineas in a month without another run. Should suit his brilliance down to the ground.

I agree Judge. Aramayo looks like he has not improved from the spring, then you have Stars Of Carrum, Chapada, Extra Brut and maybe even a filly, someone like Aristia or Maid Of Heaven or even Nakeeta Jane.

There are four or five at the top and then a long tail for this years aussie classics! So that gives him a good chance.

Would have thought the Alister Clark is the next run for this guy, do the Levendi prep!

Aramayo was kept up for 7 runs over 4 months in the Spring culminating in a brutal Derby- all in his first campaign. That's a tough ask for a young horse. He got pipped in the Spring Champions and I wonder if he he'd won that whether they would've pressed on for the Derby. They did and he raced a bit flat. Looks like he's returned a bit flat too.

I'm inclined to agree. Unless he's a half fit champion (unlikely) then he must have been pretty fit to win the way he did, so probably doesn't need a lot of racing to be ready for the Derby. He only has to find a length or so to win the Rosehill Guineas. The 3yos are pretty weak outside of TAS and Arcadia Queen, both of which he won't meet.

Tonight I'm hoping he can round them up and race away like a good horse. Then bring on the Derby!

The Valley has brought many undone in the past, but if he handles it he should be winning.

I just had a look at this bloke's breeding and his granddam is a mare that brings back memories for me called Simply Believe. I had my largest ever lifetime bet on her one day when she duly copped a check going for a run in the straight and got beat. That one hurt a lot.

Simply Believe was also a grey who in turn was a granddaughter of the great grey Pure of Heart.

Scrambled home. Not sure what to make of that run. He got the job done but not impressive from a Derby perspective.
