Too busy the last few days to keep a close eye on the fields.

But checking today’s results I see this guy chalked up his second career win today by 3.5 lens at Cranbourne over 2080m.

Is he, as the caller said, in a rich vein of form, or is he a good class horse going through the grades ?

Pretty good run by this guy in the 2100m race at Sandown yesterday.  Was 3 wide early on, did a bit of work to get a position in the race and stretched out nicely in the straight.

He’s not going to reach any great heights but has got his hoof on the till for a win in a similar race this campaign.

Suspect they would have with him if they sent him hurdling.

Noticed this horse has had a change of ownership, stable & location.

Now up at Ballina with Brett Cavanough.  Kicks off his career up north at Eagle Farm today in R7 - a class 3 over 1400m.

Went through the Inglis online sale a couple of months ago, sold for just about 50k I think from memory.

Quite a lot of speed in this race.

If he does not get run off his legs and the leaders are stopping he could run over the top of them.

Worth a little eachway at the odds.

Were you on each way djebel?  Nothing worse than your horse running 4th when on each way.

Anyway, I’m sure connections are pleased with today effort.  He’ll pay his way up there with plenty of 1800-2200m races in the NSW northern rivers & SE QLD area.

Yeh I was. It is frustrating running 4th but no real excuses. If they went any faster up front he would not have kept up. The caller said there was no speed in the race.

Hopefully 1800m somewhere in 3 weeks or so.

This horses’s prep looks odd on paper:

1. 1400m Eagle Farm
2. 1500m Grafton
3. 1000m Taree
4. 2000m Country Classic at Rosehill today.

I’m not sure if it’s a case of method in the madness or madness in the method??

But I’ll have a few gold coins each way at 20/1 to find out.

Some sort of rush to get him fit for today ?

All four runs in 26 days. 3 in the last 8 days ?

Hello,
I think, it's quite remarkable pedigree for an Aussiebred racehorse.

The dam of 'Pepper's Ghost' is bred 3x4 Allegretta, the first time I saw this pattern outside
European horses.
regards, Ticino

Running in the Armidale Cup 1900m today.

Tricky race with several others who finished around him in that Rosehill Country Cup also in the race.

I do want to get something out of him this prep so will give him another chance today.

Thank you Lord H for bringing him to my attention earlier, I had not looked at the Armidale card. Got the money back plus a little extra that was lost at Rosehill.

Thank you.

I had my collect on him last start at Armidale.  I’m off the punt for the rest of the year but will still be interested to see how he goes at the 2400m today at Randwick. Only been to the trip once before & failed on a heavy track, which is not his caper. Brett Cavanough has certainly got him racing well this time.

Should pay more attention to NSW bush meetings on a Sunday.

This guy won over 2020m at Murwillumbah yesterday.
