Had Australia won the series 2-1 or 3-1, a first win in England for 18 years, it would have been difficult to dislodge Paine as captain or wicket-keeper, but with a batting average of 20 and losing the last Test badly, holding on for a drawn series, is he vulnerable now? I cant see him hanging on for much longer. after Smith's captaincy ban in March.

Not great management by Australia all round.
Lucky to get a drawn series with the best batsman in the world creating Ashes history, and the best bowling attack available to them. ... and yet, but for the vagaries of the stupid DRS they win the series 3-1 The Poms are very pedestrian other than for Stokes, and Archer is a work in progress. Losing their best bowler the first day of the series didn't help them either.
An entertaining series due to the ebb and flow.

In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!
