The look on Harvey and Singo after the race was absolutely priceless

She looked screwed down too much first up to get to the Flights the only option they have now is to freshen for the Coolmore. The way she drops the head you'd think she would get the mile like the mother but her last 2 runs have been workman like compared to her fresh run so best kept fresh at 1200m imo.

Well that's an easy ask when one draws well inside the other.

Believe she can run a strong 1400 against her own age however the Flight certainly does present a query.

Libertini set for crucial Randwick trial

Talented sprinter Libertini is on track for a spring return and will have a crucial tune up at Randwick barrier trials on Tuesday morning.

Trainer Anthony Cummings had to spell Libertini after just two runs at the beginning of the autumn due to a hind limb injury and the mare hasn’t raced since.

Libertini came into the autumn preparation with a boom on her after a strong spring campaign last year where she won two legs of the Princess Series, the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes and Group 2 Furious Stakes.

She also finished third behind star colts Exceedance and Bivouac in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes.

The daughter of I Am Invincible failed to capture the same form when she was unplaced in two autumn runs, including finishing ninth in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap.

Libertini was forced to spend four months in the paddock after the run but Cummings is hopeful she’ll be back to her best this spring.

“So far so good with her and everything seems fine,” Cummings said.

“We will know more after she trials on Tuesday morning but we are pleased with the progress she has made.

“It depends on how she does in the trial before we decide where we want to kick off with her but there are options there.”

Cummings said the $500,000 Group 2 The Shorts (1100m) at Randwick on September 19 was one of the options for Libertini first-up.

Should the mare return to her best there is no doubt she will attract attention from The Everest slot holders where she is rated a $101 chance with bookies.

Libertini will trial alongside Godolphin’s The Everest top seed Bivouac as well as stablemate Mizzy in a 1050m heat on Tuesday morning.

Mizzy has been nominated to run in the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill this Saturday.

The Zoustar mare won the Sheraco Stakes last year and went on to finish third in the inaugural running of the $7.5 million Golden Eagle.

Cummings said he would wait until after Mizzy trials on Tuesday before deciding if he will head to the Sheraco this weekend.

Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!

1.07.6 for the 1200m.

That proves Classique Legend is high class, and she made him look second rate.

If she draws a gate she can win because she can sit on a hot speed and kick.

I hate to say it and I am sure the Victorians will disagree, but this will be an awesome race!

Had a bad day Voyager?

Why in the world do you suggest that Victorians would bag the Everest contest?  That's just stupid stuff.

Libertini has always been special ... At her 1st race start 2nd to Bivoac , she was written up as sensational sectionals , ( Those of a champion )
Better than our number 1 open class sprinter's time, that day.

No surprise if she does go to the heights her early efforts showed she posessed.
