Keen on Nowra R7 Mornay $7.5/$2.5 today. She's a promising filly who won well on debut, beating Perigord who then ran a good 2nd to Exceltic in the maiden at Gosford on Guineas Day, and Exceltic then ran a great 2nd to Star Fall after settling last and finishing strong. Perigord has since gone under at Orange, but the placement was poor (went 1100m-1400m in first prep).

Monay herself was well beaten at hernext start in the Gosford Guineas. That was deep end big time and was unsuited there. Back to her grade and logical next step of a BM58 on the country circuit and, assuming she continues to thrive in her first prep and handles the soft conditions, the $7.5/$2.5 greatly appeals. Try to lock in SPG with B365 if you can, as the bookies don't mind taking on horses from smaller stables. But this young bloke can train.

Standard Monday.

Vic don’t race on Mondays over Summer, unless it’s a public holiday.

Sa only race Wed, Sat and Sun and occasional Friday meets.

I don’t think QLD have raced on Mondays for years.
Not sure about WA

Monday is generally the quietest day of the walk for the bookies

WA generally do not race on Mondays (except for public holidays) and Tuesdays. Have the occasional Friday meeting.

No racing in Vic again tomorrow.
Yarra Glen has been abandoned due to severe weather conditions.

Wednesday’s meeting at Kyneton has been brought forward to commence at 11am
