Okay, ScoMo, has been busy, traveling to his government camp meetings, overseeing a party who could not beat Labor in Victoria, and then seeing one of his MP's, who held a marginal seat, switch out of the party to become an independent. Talk about good timing.

Now he has brought the 2019 budget forward, so we can have a May election.

Looks like Bustling Billy will be in the lodge by June!

The issues.

Some idiots in Canberra who can not decide who the leader of their own party should be, so how can they lead the country.

Immigration, as always.

Energy policy, highlighting what can be done about household energy prices.

Debt reduction.

Infrastructure expenditure.

Foreign relations, especially with China.

Disenfranchisement with major parties, and the Donald Trump effect.

Nice one Voyager - not too late to clock up a "new" thread. I did a quick check this morning & a few of the more notable performers have again under achieved this year. Amazing really. Final stats to be released first week Jan

Oops - take all that back Voyager. General Thread items don't qualify - too many cheap Birthday threads that bias the outcome. Apologies

I think Border Control is the Libs biggest trump card (pardon the double pun). The ALP are hopelessly torn on the issue & have an appalling track record on it to boot. Also Morrisons biggest single achievement in his political career thus far.

Shorten is the other biggest weakness for the ALP. He has no traction at all. If it gets anywhere near tight during the campaign he could melt

If the current PM hammers in a policy of immigration control, picking who comes here,  and sending the so inclined terror idiots back to where they come from, along with their family, he will win the election hands down.
And if he keeps speaking out and saying what people want to hear, and what we think.
Well, thats how it shapes up out here in the boonies.
I suppose the inner city latte sippers wont see it that way.
BUT, there is a big world out here beyond the city limits.
animals before people.

I see Brother ScoMo, has come out with plans for a federal corruption agency.

I seem to remember a senior member of the government calling Labor out for witch hunting when they asked for this to happen a few months back.

This tells me that the Liberal party's campaign will be a follow the leader campaign, next year.

They are getting desperate. Trying to take heat out of it as an issue Labor wins votes on, but wont work for them. People aren't as stupid as they think you are.

Any thoughts on when the election will be?
