   Hi troops.
A full field of eight went around on the synthetic last Sunday, including noted Echuca sports enthusiast Mowie who joined us for the first time (I think).  Welcome Mowie.

It was a keenly contested event throughout with a host of chances with a couple of races to go, and here's how it all played out.  Hope my arithmetic is ok.   

5 points: Mowie - not an entirely memorable debut performance from the lad, however his special for 
                          the day did salute.  Will improve with the run under his belt.

10 points: Second Chance - two winners plus change was all I could muster on the day.

11 points: PB - nary a winner for our Warrnambool contestant, however he did score in 6 of the 9
                      races.

13 points: Dizzy - enjoyed a fast start with three winners and a 2nd but sadly found the going tough
                           over the concluding stages.

14 points: RFF - looked like bolting in after four early winners including his special but had a very
                        blank canvas over the final three races.

15 points: Maccamax - he too looked a huge chance with scores in each of the first seven races, but
                                  once again couldn't quite find late points to secure a clear win; whilst
                Vixen - found herself in the same boat with four winners and a couple of placings after
                           seven races, before tiring just a tad over the last little bit; and
                Warri Symbol - might well rue tipping a lamentable $80 job early on, as the last of his four
                                      winners arrived in the last to secure him a joint place on the podium.

  So yes folks, it was a triple dead heat between Macca, Vixen and Warri, and congratulations to all
  of them on three fine tipping performances.
