I think this horse has the potential to be a top horse pit here.
Hayes confident he can run well. Just having a couple of runs, then he will be spelled for the spring carnival.

Just flicked over to R.com and thought the winner's name was familiar so came back for a peek.

Selection of the year to date Shawy. Clap

Well done Shawy!!

Will be interesting to see if David Hayes can find another race this campaign to boost his rating and help his chances of qualifying for The Cups.

Haven’t really looked at the upcoming calendar, but I think there’s races like the Port Adelaide Cup, plus sone of those winter cups in Sydney (McKell Cup, etc).

I heard Hayes talking about them during the week, wrote the names down as he sounded very keen on this one. The other one is a little behind in settling in.
Both will be having short and sharp preps, onwards and upward to the Spring.

Finally found a roughie!!!

Me too!!! I remembered it as another of djebels' tabulated pedigrees & hadn't bothered to open the thread, BIG mistake but top marks Shawy for keeping your ears open and posting Clap Clap Clap
I religiously check out all the RSN podcats on Sat. morning but never found a Hayes one, nor now on checking again Cry
I didn't hear him on Trainer talk early this a.m. but if he was 1st on, was in the shower.

Wisdom has been chasing me but I've always outrun it!

Was on Racing.com the interview I heard, possibly on either Facebook or the app.
Can’t remember now, but I did write it down so I wouldn’t forget!

In the post race interview Hayes said he thought the other one should have won too. Wasn't pleased with the piloting.

I do enjoy seeing the old Al Maktoum silks winning staying races. Takes me back to my childhood with memories of AT TALAQ, ALMARAAD, JEUNE & co. Back then it was pretty much just Lindsay Park that had imported stayers in their stables, these days there’s hordes of them out here in every 2000m+ race.

But back to JAAMEH, he’s 2 wins from 3 starts here in Australia and looks an out and out stayer. I didn’t get to hear David Hayes interviewed post race, but what level can this guy reach in the Spring?   Maybe a Metropolitan Hcp in Sydney? Or Bart Cummings Stks?

DHayes post-race interview follows the replay. One more run then into the Bart to hopefully "qualify".

Probably via Bart Cummings

The race didn’t pan out for him, but still an awful effort yesterday & nothing adverse in the Stewards Report.

Can we expect a “Glastonbury” style form turn around (ref: 1994 AJC Metrop) when he next appears?

Will be in the Bart Cummings trying to qualify.

But there will be several others thinking they'll have a chance to qualify for the big one.

Indeed. One of the worst form reversals.

To my eye he is a horse who needs a certain type of race.

He needs a strong tempo, he needs a soft run and he needs clear room late.

If he is there on the first Tuesday in November I have seen worse horses, than him run in the cup.
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

Noticed this guy has recently been retired.

Had a great Spring in 2018, plenty of placings in big staying races before breaking through with a VRC QE Stakes win.

But never found any form in his next few preps.

Muntahaa surely goes back to England and proper trainer ?

Far to young to throw in the dust bin.

And far too good to be wasted in Australia.
