Here is further evidence the Andrew's government is out of its depth.

A. The public holiday on Grand Final Eve, introduced a few years ago as vote catcher prior to an state election by the Andrews government for Melburnians to see the Grand Final parade is still gazetted, despite that Melbourne is in lockdown and the Grand Final is being played in Brisbane.

B.Victorians will have been forced to endure one of the longest COVID-19 lockdowns in the world if the current restrictions are extended beyond September 13.

The period of the stage three and four rules enforced under the state’s second wave will be 67 days long by the time any easing is possible after September 13.

That follows the first eight week period of restrictions enforced earlier this year from March to May.

The Victorian lockdowns are equivalent or even longer than some of the hardest-hit European nations such as Belgium (seven weeks), France (eight weeks), Spain (eight weeks) and Russia (five to six weeks).

Some of those nations, such as Spain, are also facing a second wave with restrictions being reintroduced to quell the spread.

Every country has introduced its own variation on lockdowns with differing limits on business activity and people’s movements.

It seems to me, from the outside, that Melbournians brought the tougher restrictions down on themselves by not complying to basic requests

Am I wrong?

Yes, you are right the gang of eight cabinet ministers in the Andrews government all are Melburnians. They are the fools who stuffed up hotel quarantine of returning travellers where 99% of the virus escaped into the community. Once they became aware of that disaster they imposed the tougher restrictions, but by then the horse had bolted.

Well, when is that enquiry going to report, in 2025 ? Long-winded bullship that should already have been concluded.

If those eight cabinet fools had not hired those security firms, who employed those foolish security guards the virus would have been contained.

In a way, it was never going to be easy to contain it, regardless who the security people were, any kind of close contact was a risk, but according to some reports, hubba-hubba was involved, there really needs to be prosecutions.

No-one takes responsibility for failures these days, as they say, it is an orphan, but success has many fathers. Even the Nazis had more principle, after heavy combat on the Eastern Front in 1943, the commander of the SS Division "Totenkopf", reported to his superior that his force was "no more", and having failed in his mission, proceeded to shoot himself. Not that anyone expects that, but the silence is deafening from those involved in the Melbourne fiasco.

What about that rich dude that took a yatch load on a happy trip all the way up the coast,  from Melb to Bris, stopping in at 3 or 4 places, including Yamba , where they spent a week.  And Lindsay Fox and family moving into their holiday home on the beach/Gold Coast I think.  Not to mention the 400 football hangers-on flown in and set up in luxury .
animals before people.
