Imo an error made by some breeders with this fellow is that too many of his foals have been bred from middle distance, staying or just plain slow mares, because he appears to be a classic case of needing genuinely fast bred matrons to succeed in the SH.  

Which is hardly unusual re more than a few staying bred imported stallions, however for whatever reason it's taking some time for the penny to drop.

Just like High Chap and his son So You THink.  They do better here with the speed mares.  Or at least they performed better here than in Europe with the more staying line mares.  Hense the speed is the key.

I see one of his most promising types in Tarwin is set to resume at Sandown on Wednesday.
Tarwin looks top class and he could be the one that puts Americain back in favour
