Virtually the Orr field rerun. Another great race assured if they all go round.

Took the same for Turn Me Loose. Hopefully Lucky Hussler bypasses this for the William Reid.

The outside was quicksand that day in my opinion & I think hucklebuck takes as much improvement as any.

If he draws & settles (always his biggest weakness) then he is incredibly hard to beat

TML hard to beat.

Stratum Star looks a bit of overs for mine, always takes a run.

All horses a chance here, it just comes down to what odds they are and improvement out of the Orr. My initial summary:

Boban- Good first up. Does he improve off the first up run or is his best form first up these days?
Rebel Dane- Had his chance in the Orr. Can't see him improving as much as others into this. Will run an honest race but hard to see him winning.
Turn Me Loose- Was competent first up, condition gave out late. I'd expect improvement off the Orr run and prove harder to run down. Good chance.
Hucklebuck- Given a peach of a ride from the carpark which gave him a chance last start. Expecting him to peak for this, looks his pet distance and with the soft draw a leading contender.
TIAG- Solid in the Orr. Drawn wide again here and should be competitive. Might find  a few better though.
Stratum Star- Often needs the fresh run, so expecting good improvement here. His Spring form is good enough to have him as a big place hope at least.
Entirely Platinum- Bit plain first up, probably lacks the class to be a winning hope.
Scissor Kick- Query runner. I've always liked him but seemed just off Group 1 quality as a 3yo. Long lay off so he might need the run? 1400m first up at a G1 though might mean they think he's going well enough.
The US- Expect him to be hitting the line first up but prefer him over further. Not out of it but you would think the others who are fitter and at their pet trip should be beating him home.
Suavito- A big fan of the mare. Great ride first up. She has a good Caulfield record and can win again from the soft draw. Just wondering how much she improves off the first up run?
Politness- Also a big fan. She has a nice turn of foot and was pretty good resuming. Up to 1400m here and she is a big chance swooping late. Barrier 1 is a minor concern.

So your ruling out a G1 winner track and distance but not the stayer resuming? Crazy!

Not so crazy. Can not rule out anything from Lloyd Williams this time of year.

Within reason... The US will have a typical Lloyd prep of this and possibly the Blamey, he'll be a chance in the Blamey but they'll be to sharp for him here...

Only 3 winning chances I feel, Turn Me Loose, Sauvito and Hucklebuck. I think Turn Me Loose is an out and out 1600+ horse and a bit short so happy to back the other two for this race. Turn Me Loose will then be hard to beat rest of his prep.

Coincides with my ratings. I think Hucklebuck profiles very well for this. Soft draw, has the class, will be at his best 3rd up and his pet distance. Suavito ticks all the boxes as well, but just leaning to Hucklebuck to improve a little more out of the Orr and a better draw means he can turn the tables.

Not the best draw for one of my fav's in Politeness, but maybe she can park a little closer from 1 and not have to do so much work late. Has been one of the most consistent mares in the country over the past year or so (Winx aside of course, but freaks don't count) & I am sure that she will again be flying home late. The post might just come a little too soon for here, but I can't let her go around without some of mine. Might load up the place, go 1x3 or something.

This is far more a group 1 race than the same race run 2 weeks ago.

Was on Suavito last start and no reason to jump ship. Have heavily invested in that crazy $2.50 the place into a couple of other place doubles tomorrow (and tonite with Fast Cash & Grey Street).
