Just wondering what people’s thoughts are on frosted
His fee has come down to my budget , so I booked my dash for cash mare into him this season
Hide n dash
She has Danzig on female line
Tap it has group winners to both Danzig and seeking the gold
A little knowledge is dangerous.

Lovely horse, great performer on dirt, virile fellow.

I've used him and believe he can succeed here if his stock go to the right trainers.

Or 100% if a parent has two identical alleles of a particular gene or genes.  This gene is called homozygous.  (An allele is a viable DNA coding that occupies a given locus on a chromosome).

An organism that has two different alleles of a gene is called heterozygous and this is where the probability percentile of grey to grey is 75%.

Huge Risk!

If he makes it here in Aus it will be a great choice obviously.

The odds are against him imo and I would pass for them reasons.

Paul I do agree,
But I got burnt thinking exactly the same thing with dubawi, who I could have got into for $10000
I seen some of his foals on darley website, and I know they only show the best 10 out of a hundred.
I have never been one to go for dirt only stallions, but street cry, dubawi and others are slowly changing my mind.
It is a risk, but if they come out flying here, they will be in high demand once mine is a yearling.
Tapit was a good horse without being great, but at stud he is setting world records.
If frosted is half as good I will be happy,my mare is also a 5 time Saturday city winner in Sydney and could gallop.
I am a trainer also,so if the foal can gallop on sand only,I can always take a working holiday to Darwin.
A little knowledge is dangerous.

The risks are what I wrote in my reply.
But tapit is so good,I feel confident.
Street cry was a sand horse,Winx might have been even better on sand tracks in the US,but we will never know.

Second Chance
My mare is hetro,3 foals to non grey for 3 bays
Frosted I think may be homo,as he gets almost all greys.
So will a homo and a hetero make 100% or 75%

Yeah I was thinking that exact thing. I would part with 10k and take a punt but not 20k.

A homo grey will have 100% grey offspring regardless of the other parent's colour. They are fairly rare in TBs (brains trust can confirm that for us, please) - but predominant in breeds like the Spanish horses.
BOL with your mare! and please keep us posted

I will take the chance,
Had a yearling sell at the prem sale, got $50000 more than I thought,so all good
It may pay off,and if they are flying when mine is a yearling,if it’s a Colt I may sell,
Otherwise I will train it myself and hope for the best, and a Darwin trip or two
They may go alright on the all weather tracks here,,

There are a few stallion lines in Australia that should suit him, especially Octagonal/Zabeel/Reset and Beautiful Crown.  Lookin at Lucky is another one.  Frosted's dam has a GSW by Bernardini so that's worth a punt if you don't mind cluster breeding.

$22k for 2020.

Thought he had some nice ones go through the sales this year. Whether they explode on to the scene as 2yo is anyone’s guess, but they certainly looked built for racing.
