She blew herself up over her healthcare plan and how it was to be paid for, which it turned out was a tax that everyone would pay when she had claimed nobody would pay extra but she was refusing to say how. When exposed she tried amending it to a 3 year transition proposal similar to Harris 10 year transition, but nobody bought it. She is a policy and numbers wonk whose excruciatingly detailed explanations bored most. Her misstep made people not trust her, having got such detail so wrong when that was seen as her strength.
She is running in the far left lane in direct opposition to Bernie who is just promising free healthcare for all but not being scrutinized over cost or viability of his plan. Bernie is a known quantity to his socialist supporters so those who were entertaining her as a possibility just went back to Bernie and those in the center left went back to Biden and more-so Buttegieg. She has been left stranded in the center left not drawing enough from either side of her. Can change though

Her 4th quarter contributions kicked back up when they were expected to drop dramatically so she could be in recovery. Where the 3 recent dropouts funds and support goes will be interesting She could pick up a fair bit of it, but she cant stay stranded half way between the center and the left.

The field is down to 12 now and 2 clear lanes have emerged. The left lane is polling around 35% between Bernie and Warren, while the remainder leaning toward the center hold 65% of the poll total.
Logically if it settles out the way it should with Biden holding the lead in the middle, he will absorb most of the 10 and Bernie absorbing most of Warren's supporters leaving Bernie well short of Biden.

It's all about personality politics when choosing a leader these days, which is a shame.
But that aside the Dems are "rooned" if Joe gets the nod imo.

It can change. Most campaigns are only a bad quarter of funding away from being done and Biden has not been the best fundraiser Bernie raises double what he does, but as people drop from his lane he should pick up a lot of their supporters.
People who watch and count such thing say, based on registrations there will be likely 30 million more new voters this election. All previous metrics are out the window. It will all depend on how new voters breaks down. The last election Dems won the popular vote by 3 million but lost. In the midterms they won the popular count by 8 million and picked up 40 House seats.

Rusty catches on. It could (?) have been others, so that's some sense of relief. Is Trump really worse than Bernie or Biden? Come on now. (I'll leave out the cheesy 2 old white guys line.) |

Hopefully policy, but as previously suggested that gets a big time back seat to personality politics when it comes to finding a President.

Of course he’s worse. There’s no doubt he’s corrupt There’s no doubt he’s a habitual liar There’s no doubt he’s a f**ing idiot There’s no doubt he’s not across topics like he should, because he watches Fox or plays golf all day. There’s no doubt he puts his vanity above everything. There’s a lot of doubt about whether the other 2 are worse than him in any facet of the job. Having said that surely there’s someone that’s capable that’s under 70 Anyone! |

That almost certainly sums it up. Which is a truly awful future to contemplate even if you one has a Republican-like mindset.

The last debate before the Iowa Caucus was yesterday and all eyes were on Warren and Bernie who are competing for the same votes(news to stayer) and they were given a few opportunities to go at it, but not much eventuated other than Warren all but calling Bernie a liar and then refusing his handshake at the end of it. Pressure is getting to her as she along with a few other Senators will be caught up in the impeachment trial for the next few weeks and will miss Iowa, a state critical for momentum. A bad showing there could end her.

How is "Bernie and Liz going for the same votes" news to anyone, PT?
Bernie came out the winner among the 12 y/o "voters." The only other winner today was Orange Man. Losers were the kooky old lush Nancy and her ridiculous pen-wielding sidekicks, your old poster boy Avenatti (Tucker's offered him a prison interview LOL) and your colleagues at CNN.

I hear that Avenatti and the Dead Iranian Terrorist are now a clear 3rd and 4th pick behind Pocahontas and Weekend at Bernies - who will be invited to feature in a cage match at Wrestlemania ... they just need to run a couple of Chook Raffles or ask Stormy to turn a couple of tricks to raise enough to be in the next debate!
... and nobody cares.

Remind me who Avenatti is again. No need I remember, he is the lawyer that was hired by a pornstar to sue Trump for ripping off her hush payments that were paid to hide the fact he was screwing her while little Barron was still in mum's belly, and is in prison now fo... No sorry that is Mr Cohen Trump's personal lawyer/mobster/fixer/bagman/lawyer that is in prison over the illegal transaction of paying off the pornstars. Is that right? And those criminal charges are awaiting Donald when he is booted out of office. Avenatti should get a commendation from the next President for getting this ball rolling that has Trump impeached and facing prison along with the rest of the grifter family. How funny is Don Jr on twitter, in sheer panic It isn't easy to keep up with all the criminals he surrounds himself with.

Oh how quickly they forget!
Michael "The Creepy Pornstar Lawyer" Avenatti is one of your best people PT ... a convicted criminal who is rotting stir, and he won't be getting a Presidential Pardon any time this decade!
Hey Whale, can we have a quick fact check ... how many posts did PT make with glowing reference to his main man and savior of the Dems ... including gloating that he would be running for President!!! |

Whatever happens to Avenatti, and he predicted months ago he would be locked up, he exposed Trump as a criminal and set in motion everything Trump and his grifter family are facing. He will pay for doing that.
