Hope you have a great day at the Derby Ticino.

For us Aussie fans, I noticed that ORMUZ is a full brother to ORMITO, who is here racing in Australia with Danny O’Brien at Flemington.

And I’m sure some of the runners in the 2019 German Derby will be purchased by Aussie syndicates to race down here in 2020.

Two things after watching the race.
1 can the crowd see the horses in the back straight.
2 is it me or was that winner quite erratic in the last furlong or so.

Hello, Majestic,
the first of your questions I can answere.

I was at the "Derby Meeting" at Hamburg
No, there are trees and bushs at the track. The crowd can watch the whole race on a Huge Screen  at the race course and several close circuit TV's.

Of course reruns of every race you can watch at any place, but I can't say whether your bservation is true. There wasn't a Stewards inquiry.

Regards, Ticino

Hello,
an interesting Observation.
Laccario traces back in the Sire Line to Dark Ronald. In Germany still regarded as most important Stallion Import some 100 years ago.

The Sire Line was developred via Dark Ronald-Herold-Alchimist-Birkhahn-Literat-Surumu-Acatenango-Lando-Scalo-Laccario (9th Generation).
Just to make things even more interesting all Colts, later Sires (except Laccario) have either won the "German Derby" or run in the most importent race for 3 year olds. Literat was 5thplaced (brokedown in the race) and Scalo (9thplaced). Literat, Lando and Laccario belong to the same damline, founded by 'Lovely Naples' (Vencedor).

regards, Ticino
