US House of Representatives today voted to protect marriage equality. Now has to pass the Senate with McConnell saying he hasn't decided yet.
SSM is next on their 14th century Supreme Court to knock over.

Unbelievable!!!! How can you possibly make light of someone struggling with the driver off the tee. It can be truly debilitating

If that food at the restaurant you recommend for our soiree is not up to standard, I might have to get down to my local NDIS .

Rusty, not at all. As I posted it is goldmine for psychologists, psychiatrists and their like, because some people will rock up to those professionals because they feel suicidal when their football side gets beaten or they cannot correct their golf slice with their driver.

Then why are you complaining that we don’t have the infrastructure to look after those in need in a timely fashion?
Obviously your a supporter of ramping up the funding of the NDIS!

I would hazard a guess that if he is your friend Bob, he can probably afford to pay the up front fee. Thats how it works. If you want an appointment with a doctor/specialist as a pensioner, or on some other freebie scheme, you wait, and wait. If you are prepared to delve into the shoe box at the back of the wardrobe and pay the fee you get in quickly. Dont know about elsewhere but if you cant pay up front here in the Hunter you can wait for up to 6 months for a specialist consult, and if its an ENT , longer. And most will travel up to 3 hours round trip, some times further, with the costs involved out of your pocket as well. Feel for the country people who have to travel to Sydney for cancer treatment for themselves or their kids. Every week for up to a year. Time off work. Petrol or train fares. Place to stay. Why doesnt your mate just pay up front and be done with it, like a lot of the rest of us have to do , if we want medical care.

All of this waste along with defending endless court cases looking after the mates in the legal fraternity is exactly what Shorten is looking at. The Libs standard plan to inadequately fund, fill it up with rorts and massive blowouts to dismantle and privatize, selling off to mates has just hit a roadblock.

I bet there's a heap of people out there counting their lucky stars, and thinking "jeez I'm so glad I was born with cerebral palsy, and can now screw the Government."

A family friend who suspects his 4 year old maybe autistic attempted to make an appointment with a child psychologist was told he could not get a booking until November 2021. That psychologist was only available from then due to all the other parents had made bookings under NDIS. If that friend was told if he was prepared to pay upfront the full fee he could get a booking within a week.

Keep up Bobbie, that was under the incompetent Scomo regime.
A local bloke is under the NDIS, as part of it, they pay $130 to mow his lawn. The actual contractor who mows the lawn is paid $50…… That’s what happens when an incompetent Government guts the public service, and outsources to private contractors (mates) In any event, saying it’s too expensive, is not an argument. The people in need MUST be looked after. If that means people in your demographic lose a few perks, then that’s ok.

NDIS ? A goldmine for psychologists, psychiatrists and the like. A bottomless pit .Have a look how it has already blown out, it already costs the government more than Medicare. |

On ABC radio this morning they spoke of the need for the government to further fund issues faced in the community by transgender people, that is those who do not identify themselves as either male or female, rather than those who maybe male but identify themselves as female or female who identify themselves as male . The ABC said up to 2% of the population could be transgender, well from the 2016 Census only 1260 people identified themselves as transgender out of a population 23.4 million, by my calculation that equates to .0053% of the population. If the ABC is bagging on about additional funding for transgender people I am sure there are many more people , who are in number far exceed 1260, who would like extra government support. How about amputees, people with vision impairment, drug addicts, people with chronic back pain ? The list is endless.
