I am over it, but that poor bugger is not Kim's pet, and if he is locked up in a Nth Korean prison like Otto Warmbier was this idiot Morrison'r prayers will not save him.

Yet you seem completely at ease with the treatment of Kim's citizens ... odd.

RBA cuts the cash rate again to 1% as the economy continues to flounder.

How good is a recession? should have been Morrison's election slogan.

I think you’ve amply demonstrated that you shouldn’t be giving investment to anyone

But at this time of the cycle,I’d suggest that return OF your capital , is much more important than return ON your capital.

Albo is playing it just right. While the RBA Governor is pleading with the alleged great money managers to get off their ideological arses and please do something,  Albo is making them make their case publicly so that when this inevitably fails(cause a bigger shovel is not the answer) Labor will have clean hands and will be a clear alternative in 3(or less) years.

The govt who claims a mandate but doesn't have the votes(doesn't have to make sense to a Lib) is trying to play politics to blame Labor when it goes pear shaped.

Remember when I told you this last election and budget was the same as the little rodent's structural time-bomb strategy to undermine Labor and expedite their return to the trough? Well now they own their own  mess and have no clue how to fix it.

Bet SlyMo didn't pray for this.LOL

Passing strange I think that the completely independent Reserve Bank did not reduce interest rates before the election, though the economy was in pretty much the same condition 6 months ago as it was 1 month ago.  What would have been the effect on the election if the RBA had moved 6 months ago? We can only guess.Wink

The RBA was in a no win situation on the politics of it. I think they trusted the govt(whichever it way have been) to do what was needed.

That was where they went wrong.

Or maybe the RBA, like almost everyone expected Labor to win and responsible economic management to return, and waited.

To an old cynic like me it looks like it was a clearly political decision by the RBA not to move earlier, the kind of decision the RBA is supposed not to make.

Had they come out before the election and said all of the LNP projections were false or exaggerated(as Phil Lowe said) and the economy is a basket case, it would have been seen the same as James Comey coming out prior to the 2016 US election and saying they had re-opened the Hillary email investigation,
