Mention of Bob Hawke is purely to remind Australians of what they get when they vote Labor.     Whitlam, Rudd, Gillard , Shorten.

I didn't see Shorten called PM.      His well known lack of Moral Values got him into the Labor list .    Evans , Cairns could add to the list and Barnaby has put many into Labour.

I think we know who the dolt is Doc.  Got a mirror handy?

Latest news sub-title: f*ck the casual workforce:

With Josh Frydenberg staring down the barrel of the biggest budget deficits in Australian history, getting a call on Thursday night from the Treasury Secretary saying he's found $60 billion down the back of the couch gives the man holding the nation's tattered chequebook a modicum of relief.

It's a massive amount of coin and will give the books a considerable boost as the Government plots a course out of the coronavirus economic slump.

But the bureaucratic bungle which revealed Treasury had over-forecast the impact of the Coalition's JobKeeper wage subsidy program also opens the Federal Government to demands it needs to be more generous.

The original bill was to be $130 billion, and more than 6 million workers would be supported. It's now clear only $70 billion will be spent and 3.5 million employees given a financial leg up.

Fair go Max ... We dumbo's make up the Numbers who are probably better versed, due to our time on TBV,   Than 90% of the Camel riders , sitting in GP rooms.

We shouldn't wear seat-belts, cross at pedestrian crossings, stop people drinking and driving or have traffic lights  because people die from drug abuse.

I was talking to a rusted-on Labor voter today, says she is unimpressed by Albo. Says his "delivery" (meaning how he presents his case) is much inferior to Sco Mo. I always thought Labor could do no wrong, listening to her, but even she is turning away from the faith. Write you own ticket Labor at the next election, going on that.

lol PT...    Your assuming --- I'm trying to face reality.

The seasonal cycles , contain Flu's of many strains.    3000 deaths in a bad year in Oz , doesn't stir a feather.
The world has been caught out this time , with a new strain which hits all at once , Time for caution , but clearly it is similar to other family strains and any over reaction makes the cost , worse Than the disease.
Weighing up , the very old would succumb to something some time soon.
Obviously the employed age groups are flu inconvenienced, but will soldier on.
Have you considered what this period has cost the communities in collateral damage .     Suicides , Financial ruin , Businesses destroyed,
unemployment, mental Illness, Recession/depression , Debt,Trade loss, and in many cases CRUMPET.

Are all the idiots out this week.

So there is a $60 billion mistake and what do we get.

Political reporters who stick the boot in about the mistake and the labor leader looking like a rabid vulture standing over the carcass of a dead animal in the desert pecking away at the carcass.

This just shows people are oblivious aware how these issues are worked out.

1. Frydenberg did not make the mistake himself, it was his department.

2. It was not a mistake. The amount announced as to be spent, according to projections of how many people would lose their jobs, or whose jobs were threatened so really how many employees would be signed up for the jobkeeper payment.

3. The good news that Frydenberg was absolutely correct in announcing, was that instead of 6.5 million employees being registered for the jobkeeper payment, only 3.5 million were actually signed.

4. Frydenberg did not acknowledge the 1500 employess being at a small business, it was some bureaucrat in a office who nearly caused the taxpayers to be out of pocket, and that person who okayed the application should be fired immediately     but that wont happen.

So any person who thinks it is correct to complain about 3 million people not needing government support, needs to find out the meaning of forward projections, and then reexamine the situation.
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

Pity you didn't take the trouble to read the eligibility conditions to qualify for support, ones which effectively disenfanchised millions of casual employees.

Needful people who well deserve a significant slice of the $60m "savings".

Could it be that a lot of employers did not sign up to jobkeeper, because they saw themselves as being out of pocket in doing so ?

Don't worry Tlaz, she will still vote Labor, but if she is not keen on Albo, that is not a good sign for the less Labor enthused.
