The Spectator? That was the footy record when I was a kid when I watched my elder brother play in the local Aussie Rules competition. Do they still publish it ? Surely it does not have any political content.

i am so excited. I dont have to hide my 'bushel' in the China thread. Thanks pt
a smh/watoday article. Questions emerge over WA Labor's China linksAs Labor pursues a Victorian Liberal MP over her links to the Chinese Communist Party's influence unit, it appears the West Australian Labor Party has similar connections. Gladys Liu is under fire in federal Parliament for her 12-year association with the Guangdong provincial chapter of the China Overseas Exchange Association. It is one of a multitude of organisations linked to Beijing's United Front Work Department, an integral part of the state apparatus tasked with recruiting people at home and abroad to push the interests of the Communist Party. But an archived web page of the United Front's own newspaper, seen by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, raises questions about the links between the same organisation and the West Australian branch of the now defunct Australian Chinese Labor Party Association (ACLPA). The banner on the website published on March 16, 2015 reads China United Front News Web and declares it to be a publication of the "Chinese Communist Party Central Committee United Front Work Department Propaganda Office".The short story underneath celebrates the establishment days earlier of the ACLPA's WA branch at a gathering of "nearly 100 Chinese community leaders and Labor Party MPs". In the centre of the accompanying photograph is the then opposition leader, now Premier, Mark McGowan. Also in the photo is Pierre Yang MLC, who is identified as the association's convener. The member of WA's upper house found himself in strife late last year because he hadn't declared his membership of two Chinese organisations with United Front links on his parliamentary register of interests. Mr Yang cancelled his membership of the Northeast China Federation Inc and the Association of Great China after a story in The Australian that highlighted the United Front connections. In an interview at the time, Mr Yang apologised for not disclosing his memberships and said he had been naive in not knowing about the group's affiliations. A spokesperson from the Premier's office on Thursday said its understanding was the WA branch of the ACLPA met on only three occasions and Mr McGowan, as opposition leader, attended the first meeting. "The Premier is invited to events with many people from various multicultural groups," the spokesperson said. "The photo in the link is a picture from 2015 of a meeting of the now defunct WA Labor Australian Chinese Labor [Party] Association. "The association in question had no affiliation with any other political party." Mr Yang has been contacted for comment. The ACLPA has been discontinued.https://www.watoday.com.au/politics/federal/questions-emerge-over-wa-labor-s-china-links-20190912-p52qm7.html |

If you think Scott Morrison has to tread carefully re America, china relations spare a thought for Mark McGowan whose financial livelihood depends on 'loving" the chinese.

Hey, what did Gladys do wrong anyway? So she was a member of some "Commie Club" for a few years or so ... NOBODY CARES ... it's yesterday's news! She's obviously converted, repented, and we have to thank her for beating that REAL shifty Communist from the ALP who was contesting her seat ... Julia Banks ! Anyway, converting from Communism didn't hurt Mark Latham did it ... since he ditched the ALP and that culture of corruption, he's now the most popular and respected politician in NSW and is doing a great job running the state for the conservatives!

When you lose Bolta and Sky News.
Bolt rips Morrison a new one. https://www.skynews.com.au/details/_6085582594001Chinese regime ‘should send PM a thank you card’12/09/2019|7min videoSky News host Andrew Bolt says the way Prime Minister Scott Morrison “played the race card” on Thursday means the Chinese regime “should be sending him a thank you card”. Mr Bolt said the PM used the race card to defend about her links to the Communist Party of China. He said in the “dishonest tactic” Mr Morrison suggested that if a person criticised or doubted Gladys Liu they have smeared every Chinese person in this country. Mr Bolt said Mr Morrison has insulted everyone who asks legitimate questions about Ms Liu “and worse” that he has “insulted” every one of the Chinese Australians who believe in freedom, too. NSW Labor must have misplaced their race card last week with Ernie Wong's ICAC problem.

The liar from the Shire.
At a visit to the Binna Burra Lodge to survey Queensland fire damage, Morrison was asked why it was “racist” to question Liu’s associations and whether it was racist of him to have labelled Labor’s Sam Dastyari “Shanghai Sam”. Morrison told reporters: “I didn’t use either of those phrases, so … I think people here today are focused on the fires, not Canberra.” According to transcripts on the Treasury website, Morrison referred to Dastyari as “Shanghai Sam” on at least three occasions in September 2016 at the height of the former Labor senator’s donations scandal, repeating the epithet and calling on Dastyari to resign on Sky News, FiveAA and 2GB Radio. |

Shanghai Sam was clearly a chronic liar SC, since you ask ... he was mentored and taught by the best though ... the Great White Hope of the ALP, and a protege of Bullgelati Bill, Richo, etc.
Such a shame that all they taught him was to be stupid enough to get caught ... Eddie Obeid's mate, KKKatastrophe is a clear "upgrade" though ...

Instead of following the RBAs advice and stimulating the economy to reduce near 6% unemployment or 13% underemployment or investing in infrastructure or boost retail spending by increasing Newstart or the pension they go for a stunt and it goes down like a lead balloon. I am guessing this fake surplus will be used as an argument for a tax cut for their 2% mates.
Libspill cant come quick enough, hopefully before the idiot sends us to Iran.

So what are you saying PT?
Since the scheme is being administered in exactly the way it was designed, it's crystal clear - the ALP fcuked it up from the outset. At least the dumbass liars have dropped the claim that it is in any way under funded. Yes, I know, we will be paying for those inept self interested corrupt doddering economic imbeciles, Rudd/Gillard/Rudd/Shorten for a long time to come yet!
Just so long as YOU keep reminding us when it matters, we will keep dodging bullets. |

A friend of mine with MS had a power wheelchair approved last year and he still hasn't got it. With Scummo and Fraudenberg in charge and gutting the scheme he doesn't expect to be getting it anytime soon. An absolute disgrace.

A friend of mine, in a wheelchair, with paralysis in her hand and foot had splints made.
Totally unusable, but thats ok, they will be shipped of to Africa. Time, effort and precious resources wasted. And my friend doesnt have the aids. Maybe if more competent people were in place.....
