More importantly, is that figure within the margin of error on a bell distribution curve within 2 standard deviations of certainty ?

I'll have you know that PT has just been appointed Sportsbet's new head of their election betting division.Thumbs Up

I hope both Governments succeed, if for the Australian/NSW people alone.  Only time will tell.

Well said SC.Clap

Ooops, first promise broken and they haven't even signed in yet.

No $1,000 tax cuts.

Get used to this as the headwinds grow into a category 5 cyclone.

They are in a big pickle marble. The back in the black bulls**t V reneging on tax cuts when the Reserve Bank is pleading with them to loosen/expand fiscal policy with tax cuts or spending increases, both of which blow up the surplus lie.

ScoMo is desperately trying to find a way to get cuts to his big end mates because their broken ideology says that is how you grow. Rudd/Swan proved otherwise and Swan was voted best Treasurer in the world off of our thriving during the GFC.

Trump is doing what Rudd/Swan did, but Morrison is fresh off an election with a wafer thin majority and disunity in the ranks and cant follow, so it will be that the Labor mess is greater than we thought, even 6 years on, and you cant have your middle lower income cuts just yet, but trust me I am a Christian and I have faith in a miracle if we pray hard enough, so should you.

Headwinds alright.

Far-right activist admits: 'I lied about meeting WA MPs Hastie, Goodenough'

Far-right activist Neil Erikson has admitted making up a story about a "secret meeting" with WA Liberal MPs Andrew Hastie and Ian Goodenough, which sparked a media frenzy during the federal election campaign.

In a YouTube video called "The media are idiots", which was published on polling day, Mr Erikson said he made up the lie to distract journalists from his support for failed senate candidate Fraser Anning. https://www.watoday.com.au/federal-election-2019/far-right-activist-admits-i-lied-about-meeting-wa-mps-hastie-goodenough-20190520-p51pep.html

pt is going to turn this into the trump thread; lose with grace pt.

Scott Morrison in push to get tax package rushed through Senate

Low and middle-income earners will receive more than $7.5 billion in cuts at tax time if the Coalition Government passes its signature policy through the Senate quickly.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison wants Parliament to sit before the end of June to quickly pass the first stage of his tax package to place billions of dollars in the hands of consumers at tax time.

Under the plan, low and middle-income earners will receive tax cuts worth up to $1080 for individuals, or $2160 for couples, depending on the size of their income, with individuals on $200,000 even receiving $135.https://thewest.com.au/politics/federal-politics/scott-morrison-in-push-to-get-tax-package-rushed-through-senate-ng-b881205390z

These liars getting their stories straight yet Isaac?

The MP for Moore Ian Goodenough had earlier told The Guardian that he and Mr Hastie had a brief meeting with Mr Erikson at the rally at Forrest Chase in Perth in April 2018.

"He came up and there was a conversation," Mr Goodenough said.

"It was a very brief meeting from what I saw, two to three minutes."

But Mr Hastie, the MP for Canning and chair of the parliament's intelligence and security committee, has denied having met Mr Erikson, telling reporters on Tuesday: "I don't answer defamatory questions and I won't get involved."

He later added in a written statement: "I have never sought to nor agreed to meet with Mr Erikson.

Heres another copy and paste pt. True or not pt was quite effective. Labor checkmated.

Scott Morrison worked phones almost every night in final weeks of campaign, while Labor ran out of steam

A simple tactic to win over voters may have given Scott Morrison a crucial advantage he needed to defeat Labor leader Bill Shorten. The election result may have come as a surprise to some, but behind the scenes Scott Morrison was quietly confident, having embarked on an ambitious and private campaign to win the hearts and minds of Australians.

News.com.au has learned that Mr Morrison was hitting the phones almost every night in the final month of the campaign, speaking directly to voters to hear their thoughts and spruik his party’s policies.

The calls, which were made to people in the electorate where he was campaigning that day, began as robo calls to a few thousand people, but told listeners to hang on as Mr Morrison was shortly going to jump on the line personally.

And jump on he did — speaking directly to people listening on the call — often thousands at a time. As well as outlining key details of Coalition policy adapted to that particular area, Mr Morrison also answered questions submitted during the process.

As the campaign drew to a close, Mr Morrison was sometimes doing two or three of these calls a night — working long after the day’s official proceedings had wound down.

The sheer effort and time involved in these calls shows how determined Mr Morrison was to reach as many people as possible.Conversely, Mr Shorten’s didn’t do many public events in the last week except for aquick visit to Rhodes railway station in Sydney to hand out how-to-vote cards and a short stop at a Chinese restaurant in Burwood to make some dumplings.

Diners at the Chinese restaurant were more enthusiastic but Mr Shorten only met a handful of people, and most were already Labor voters.

Apart from one day when Mr Shorten crisscrossed the country from Tasmania, to South Australia and Western Australia, the pace during the last week seemed sluggish.https://www.news.com.au/news/scott-morrison-worked-phones-almost-every-night-in-final-weeks-of-campaign-while-labor-ran-out-of-steam/news-story/69163d8cbef85410389c341c6f0cc512

"And, despite the bad polls, Mr Morrison projected an infectious energy and confidence, was quick to smile and embraced every moment. Unlike other leaders, he did not seem to be embarrassed to put himself in potentially awkward situation."
