Innocent until proven guilty. Trial my media has already begun

At least with Smerdon, we had actual evidence to look at.

This time, nothing....

I’ll wait until I see the facts before passing judgement

How sad for the industry. Reckon they’ll make an example of him?

No wonder social media is slammed.

We know nothing until the facts come out.  So today every trainer is under a cloud if and when they have a good run.  Must be drugs.  If this turns out that he has been doing the wrong thing then that is a rotten thing.  He is the only recent trainer to get a Melbourne Cup for Australia.  Something which we all loved as it's getting nigh on impossible.

Then how do they get the horses from his stables into like yards.  The numbers are immense and will be hard also.  We just have to sit down and hope details come out which we can then discuss with facts not excitement because someone might be going down for doing the wrong thing.  I prefer the excitement of a G1 race win not watching someone be knifed by people before every thing is out.

So calm down.  The details will be out there soon enough.

Hoped they'd get him for the juicing, but hey, I guess it's gonna be race-fixing and the jigger.  Oh well, they had to get Al Capone for tax evasion to make something stick.

Taser ? Mmm the mind boggles ,no wonder they run faster if they have been given a wake up with the taser .....

If reports are proven they get life and a stint in the big house .

What about Michelle’s movie investors, I wonder how they might be feeling ? Casts a shadow over the movie surely ....

I dont see how a gun and taser has anything to do with it.
they sound like weapons held to defend the properties?

how the heck would a taser shock a horse into racing calmly?
guess we will find out.

the whole thing is sad.

Several items were seized including a firearm and what police call “a conducted energy device”.

A gun and a taser? Highly unlikely either of those would be for use on horses. Think they’re probably more incidental to the raid. Though it’s a bit strange they went to all this bother for race fixing. Unless they were expecting to find something they didn’t.

sorry how is it trial by media.

he has been arrested and being questioned over some pretty significant allegations, this is not the stewards questioning him, what he has been arrested over has the potential for prison.

Of all the issues racing has had, please tell me the last time, the vic policewere involved in a raid on a stable.

He may end up innocent, but so far what we are seeing is unprecedent and racing needs to handle this correctly. We cant have horses running in his name, whilst this investigation is ongoing.

Leo Shlink said onSEN that the video held would be horrifying to many if reports to the content were true . I wonder if that involves the use of the taser ? Stay tuned I guess

Nobody wants to kill the golden goose, for racing to continue without thousands of greenies protesting, the jigger use will have to be downplayed

This is an interesting point on one article

“There is no suggestion the weapons seized have been used on his horses.”

Probably easier than constantly explaining that a jigger operates similar to a taser so call it one.

Is this the same clesnskin that was caught red handed tubing his horses on the Ballarat hwy by stewards years ago?Is this the cleanskin that said his horses were stabled at Ballarat when in fact they were in Warnanbool? Is this the man who ruined the buffet at the Harrow club?
What a selfish,self centered prick.
Hopefully Allen gets busted for laying horses on the fair when he wasn’t riding....what a joke.
Smerdon..gone.
Weir.....gone
Waller...hopefully next.
I just won the Melbourne cup...

Raids by racing authorities mean nothing- they are allowed within the rules to come and go and seize what they like... raids by Police mean they need warrants and actual reasons they present to a third party to allow them to go ahead..
A firearm is probably an absolute nothing- how many country properties hold them on site?

“There is no evidence to suggest the weapons seized have been used on horses.”

That’s what the media are saying on TV
Saying investigation is into race fixing and corruption, not doping or cruelty as has been rumoured.
