This one slipped under the radar.

Verna Bloom, who was an U.S actress and she was the lady who Clint Eastwood slept with in High Plains Drifter, and probably her most famous role, she was the wife of the dean, in one of the best comedys of all time, Animal House.

Miss Bloom died on 9th of January aged 80.

I spoke to someone at a party tonight who said he had met Geoff Harvey in the Southern Highlands recently Shocked

I'll have to remember to ask him for tips for next season!

Not sure if anyone here is a horror film fan, but Lorraine Warren, who along with her husband, Ed, were students of paranormal activity has died aged 92.

The couples research was the basis of the two horror films The Amityville Horror and The Conjuring.

Just on a side note, there is a series on Foxtel's SyFy channel which deals with real paranormal supernatural activity which is a fantastic series, even if you do not believe in that type of thing.

Okay for all those Dallas fans back in the day, Ken Kercheval has died aged 83.

Ken played JR's nemesis Cliff Barnes.

Boyz In The Hood, Higher Learning & Poetic Justice... those films did as much to cement the hip hop/rap culture as a globally marketable commodity as the music itself.

Also directed Michael Jackson's Dangerous film clip.

Thanks for that Horlicks.

Had a chat with Mike in an East Gippsland pub about 20 years ago, and there were absolutely no airs and graces about him whatsoever.  Just happy to have a chat which didn't really focus on his prior life as a high profile footy caller.

Vale Mick.

The comment is remembered simply because of the brilliance of the mark, taken in isolation it is rather run of the mill

not negative at all, I liked the bloke as much as I knew his public persona, was an enthusiastic, listenable commentator but the fact is not particularly original

Sad News on the passing on John McNair a racing character and good fella... his love for Hay List was a stand out but what he did with his other star horse Mustard was a true indication of his ability as a horseman @Racing
