It’s quite bizarre that the Trumpers get so much satisfaction that their crooked President hasn’t been arrested yet.

That’s got to be the lowest bar in history.

An opinion piece from a biased source but just stating the factual appointment of these two people, one of them Norm Eisen an Obama official and Special Counsel for ethics and reform in the White House. Eisen and CREW have successfully got 2 emoluments cases active against Trump.

The impeachment process begins in the House Judiciary Committee, which is led by Chairman Jerry Nadler. He announced today that he’s hired two outside consultants to help the committee. Barry Berke is a highly respected defense attorney who can help the committee push back against any defense strategy Trump might try to mount. But the name that jumps off the page is the other hire.

Of all the legal activist groups that have been trying to use the court system to put a dent in Donald Trump’s corrupt political agenda, CREW has been arguably the most successful and ahead of the curve. The chairman of CREW: Norm Eisen. He’s been in the thick of this from the start. Now Eisen is going to work for the House Judiciary Committee. This is the guy you hire if you want to mount the strongest impeachment push possible.

Just thought I'd ask again ... you know the Democrats are dead set against World Peace, so, what with Trump brokering it, he'll be in their crosshairs again ... maybe soon?

How did that world peace thing work out today? Did the great negotiator load up Kimmy's nukes into AF1 and take them home this time?

Impeaching Trump is counterproductive unless they uncover a crime so hideous that even the spineless Republicans will vote for his removal. Leave him where he is- he's electoral gold.Thumbs Up

Conventional wisdom is that impeachment works against those bringing it. That is based on Clinton being harassed in a witch hunt over a blow job, where Gingrich was so on the nose that Clinton got a huge boost from it.

The Nixon experience wasn't so clear cut. Polls showed that he would have done the party huge damage had he not resigned. He still did with a record swing against Republicans at the following mid terms then Carter winning in 1977.

Dems will proceed carefully but the House hearings could be devastating to Trump. Might leave Dems no choice but to impeach and Republicans no choice but to convict in the Senate. Polls will be everything. Republicans could be voting for survival.

That’s always been the case PT . It’s all up to the Republicans and whether they’re willing to stand by Trump. The House hearings are key and Trump making an idiot of himself with North Korea won’t help. Very interesting times!

Very telling yesterday Bagguette that House Republicans failed to defend Trump, simply attacking Cohen. If that is their general attitude, that he stands alone, he is in trouble.

So the Dems are too spineless to back their lies, contrived accusations and FAKE NEWS with an impeachment ... makes perfect sense when you put it that way CNNPT!

... surely they could call CNN COHEN to give more evidence ... or Christine CNN Blasey Ford, or CNN Pocahontas Warren, or CNN Hillary ... yes, I see the problem.Embarrassed

Great news Doc. impeachment has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

Donald Trump shouldn't be impeached because he's 'not worth it', says Nancy Pelosi

By Peter Marsh and wires

No effort should be made to impeach President Donald Trump unless the reasons are overwhelming and bipartisan, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says in a Washington Post interview.

Key points:

  • Nancy Pelosi said impeachment would be a divisive process and Donald Trump was "not worth it"
  • The comments have potential to split the Democratic party as progressive members advocate for impeachment
  • Robert Mueller's report is expected to be finished soon but Democrats have opened their own investigations

"I'm not for impeachment," Ms Pelosi, the top US Democrat, said in the interview published today.

"Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there's something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don't think we should go down that path, because it divides the country," she said.

"He's just not worth it."

It wasn't Ms Pelosi's first comment on impeaching Mr Trump, but it was her most direct comment.

Impeachment only works if you have the smoking gun tape. If you don't have the smoking gun tape impeachment is like charging someone with a crime when their mother is the sole judge- it's stupid.
