Sportsbet, Ladbrokes have taken their markets down Betfair in to $1.79 to be impeached.

You can still get on Doc, but you better hurry. January Democrat inquiry sh*tstorm starts soon. The rats will scamper.

Trump Impeachment Odds Surge Amid Legal Peril

President Donald Trump’s week of legal peril has significantly boosted the odds of his impeachment by the House of Representatives, at least as far as the betting markets are concerned.

Are these the same bookies that had Trump sitting at $5 even DURING the vote counting??
Geez that went well.

Time to load up on Trump not being impeached.
Might wait for the juicy $5 again

the ability to tell tbv when he was online, but not available to post, was quite commendable.

What exactly does impeached mean anyway ?

Wasn't Bill Clinton impeached ?

It almost seems like a witch hunt.

It is a political process, and easy to get going with a bit of evidence of wrong doing, ethically, morally or legal.

Impeachment can be used to get rid of a President who was committed “ High Crimes “ . It takes two thirds of the Senate to vote for it. They tried to Impeach Clinton but couldn’t get the numbers. Nixon would’ve been Impeached but he resigned first. That’s the way Trump will go I reckon. Do a deal to protect his family who are in this up to their necks. So far this is playing out exactly like Watergate with not much seemingly happening for ages then it all ends pretty quickly as the rats abandon ship and start talking to save their own skins.

... but what if Trump is delivering on his promises, and the US economy is going so well that the citizens were to re-elect him, knowing all of his flaws ... wouldn't it be dangerous for the Dems to push that line ... wouldn't it seem weak and cynical?

Lindsey Graham on Clinton. ''It is about cleansing the office''. We may see if he still holds that view shortly.

Lindsey Graham on removing Bill Clinton from office: “You don’t even have to be convicted of a crime to lose your job in this constitutional republic if this body determines your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in your role.”

Do you have any other news from the last century or so, that you might like to "Re-Rudd"?

You know that George Washington was a slave owner don't you?

Living in Bizarro World AND in the past ... explains a lot.

Nixon had just won a landslide election when he had to resign or be impeached. Nixon was a ruthless politician who didn’t care what he had to do to win . Ditto Clinton who was also a total scumbag to women. Trump on the other hand is a fraud and a crook who is apparently delusional enough to think he could become President and none of it would come out. As a human being he’s not worth anyone’s loyalty, as his recently convicted underlings have found out!

Suspect it would be a mistake to try to impeach for all but the most serious reasons. Will not have the votes to remove him from office anyway and likely to rile up his side of politics and improve their chances in 2020.

Need a super majority of 67 in the Senate to convict in a trial. Dems have 47 with Independents

Only a simple majority needed in the House though to send it to trial, so Dems can do that any time they like with a near 40 majority now.

They will hold a lot of hearings and re-examine all the witnesses who lied over the last year and interview the 60 odd that Republicans refused to interview and issue all the subpoenas Republicans refused to issue for records etc. That will take some time.

If Mueller issues a report before that or Trump is implicated in more crimes through other indictments it could come sooner.
