The poor old Werribee Cup. Once a race that would traditionally contribute a few runners to the Melbourne Cup field each year. Shunted out to a December race date and a few years ago stripped of its Listed status, which was transferred to the Pakenham Cup (who decided to transfer their Cup from Feb to Dec with the new track.

At least the WRC can always say that the Werribee Cup was the first black type win for the mighty Makybe Diva!
