I've been to the SCG Aust v India Test match ... the fans used to be quite polite ... they seem to be as bad as the Barmy Army now!

Very good, might even go to the SCG, haven't been for a few years.
These wickets should help the bowlers' collective IQ's wouldn't you say ... | The longer all 4 results remain in play the better a test is, nobody reminisces about the time a team made 600 and the other guys tried to hold on for 3 days...

Florida Rapper T-Pain Unsure Why He Is Copping So Much Heat From Indian Twitter Accountsn news out of the United States of America this morning, Florida based rapper T-Pain has asked someone to explain why he is copping so much heat on social media over the last couple of days. The American rapper, singer and producer who is responsible for smash hit songs such as Buy You A Drank and Bartender, told our reporters this morning that he was quite confused as to why a lot of Indian Twitter accounts were abusing him. “I’ve been inundated with tweets calling me a cheat, a flat track bully and telling me King Kohli would destroy me in next two matches,” T-Pain said to us this morning about what seems to be a case of mistaken identity. “I mean, I’m glad that the Konvict Music Label is so popular in the subcontinent, but they keep spelling it with a ‘C’ and calling us cheats.” “Man we hustled hard, but Akon and I aren’t cheats.” “Who is King Kohli? And what country does he rule?” After some questioning, the music veteran informed us that he weirdly didn’t have any knowledge of the game of cricket and wasn’t sure who Australian Captian Tim Paine or Indian Captain Virat Kohli were. “What man? The games go for 5 days? That’s some whack gelati,” said T-Pain. “So I’ve got another month of copping heat on Twitter?” Our reporters informed him that that was most likely the case. https://www.betootaadvocate.com/world-news/florida-rapper-t-pain-unsure-why-he-is-copping-so-much-heat-from-indian-twitter-accounts/?goal=0_ac916ebeb2-bba781c535-215844141&mc_cid=bba781c535&mc_eid=1b8d058525

Today some have praised Mitch Marsh for bowling straight and economically.
In point of fact all he's been doing is getting batters "in", setting them up for a good score without any hint of penetration.

Agree! ... sadly. ... I've said it all along, It's a weak Australian team that boasts TWO Marsh brothers ... will be a miracle if they compete over 5 days, certainly can't win.

I fee like India could regret not scoring a bit quicker yesterday depending on how the first session goes today, if the Aussie quicks can get 2 or 3 wickets this morning with the newish ball then the whole complexion of the match will change, feel 3/290 would look a whole lot better than the current score.

India2/277 at lunch, I wonder if they intend to bat 5 the days out? I suspect India are playing for both time and volume of runs with the intention of crushing the Aussies with scoreboard pressure.

Smith and Bancroft should be banned for life. Warners ban should be lifted immediately
Smith is a self absorbed disgrace and the past week of limelighting himself as "vulnerable" has truly started showing how he never was a leader in the first place. The dude is a cheating little mummys boy.
Warner on the other hand, who had several years of soul searching with the death of his good mate Phil Hughes, deserves not only a 2nd chance, but a MASSIVE apology from Cricket Australia.
Never return to the pitch again Smith. You are a joke.

Interesting Redemption - thinking along the same lines myself. Smith has come across as weak as piddle this week imo. Should have said nothing.

And what of Bancroft's claim that it was Warner's plan and Warner pressured Bancroft, as the newbie to carry out the deed with the knowledge of Smith?

Come on R - it's a one-match ban in India!
Seriously though, the whole team had to go - you can't do something like that and only have 3 players aware of it, that's just BS.
If it were not for the money, the sponsorships, the TV rights, that would have happened too.
The whole thing is a sham, and I have no reason not to believe that Warner was the instigator.
Unfortunately, these 20 something young "alleged" men, have been taught by our pathetic society that EVERYONE IS A VICTIM - so they are simply playing to the masses, at the behest of their highly paid management and image consultants - you really can't blame them, they are just like the Stop Adani School Kid protestors, doing exactly as they are told ... in a different era, not long ago, the whole team would have been advised to man up and cop the consequences.

Indian bowlers getting far more out of the ball than Australia's fast bowlers.
I thought our bowling arsenal was superior to India's before the series started.
I am not so sure now.

I don't follow cricket but haven't players from other countries cheated and received much lesser punishment ?
I agree that Smith is not leadership material but the derogatory comments about mummy's boy, don't you accept that some men can be more sensitive than others without making them a bad person ? Not a lot of empathy there, I guess you are a traditional ,subservient female who likes men to be strong, dominant, explains your daddy feelings about Trump

This had nothing to do with the ICC or what prescribed or standard penalties were for similar offences, it was about Cricket Australia trying to rescue it's brand. The penaltied were CA penalties. Similar to football clubs doling out penalties to players for off field indiscretions that damage their brand and cost sponsor contracts.

So is it the case if this pitch gets another "poor" rating the MCG is banned from hosting international cricket for a certain period?

Pressure is on the ground staff, next year is NZ but the next to after that is India again then the Ashes, heads will roll if the MCG is out of action for either of those.

The MCG pitch must be restored to its glory days, whenever that was. Ask one of the ancients. Before my time, that's for sure. It's been crappp since the 70s.

Speaking of pitches and crappp, did you hear the venerable Lillee talking about the Perth pitch? Terrible, someone could have been killed, according to the great man. Some old WA grudges being played out there methinks.

He resigned from the WACA (he was president) when they made the decision to play tests at the new stadium. He wanted them to stay at the WACA ground.

Surprised so many are writing the green caps off, it's a dead pitch and India scored at a snails pace, if they can score at around 100 a session that can put then not to far behind at lunch tomorrow, I'm backing Khawaja to reel off a big score today.

I hope I am wrong, but I think a batting debacle is on the cards today, and India's slow run rate won't come back to bite them.

Well Im clearly not the only one that is recognising a rat. Media today are reporting that many insiders have now turned against Bancroft and Smith, and have sided with Warner.
I dont give a toss what anyone says, but Warner lost one of his best mates, Phil Hughes, just a few years ago, and if we actually delve into this with some mature SCIENCE, Warners banned should be lifted immediately, and he should be issued a Public apology by the ICC As for Smith, he should never ever be allowed to play the game again, ans send his "brand" to the garbage tip. He should also issue a stronger apology to Warner.
Funny how life plays out. Smith came out playing the whole victim thing, then the past week, promoted how vulnerable he was, and the whole thing has backfired.
Warner, should just come out and say 'Hey, we cheated, I was a dirtbag and Im ready to play cricket". NOW THATs what the public want.
How Warners psychological ramifications of the death of Phil Hughes wasnt even factored into the whole thing, just truly shows what a total scumbag Smith is, as he never once mentioned it as a factor to the well being of Warners mind the past few years.
Smith just came out and played the vulnerable victim, now everyone realises he is a scumbag

WTF are you on about? Warner's friend dies so that gives him a get-out-of-jail card for cheating 3 years later. I doubt Philip Hughes family agree with you- "You're a disgrace, you shouldn't be playing cricket."

Brooke, Warner has always been mentally fragile, he has never handled it when others have confronted him, he punched Joe Root in a pub and has had numerous on field run ins with opponents. Smith by comparison until the Cape Town incident was a clean skin, his biggest weakness his intensity and inability to 'switch off' which was undoubtedly a contributing factor in what happened.
Also not sure where this idea Phil Hughes and Warner were besties comes from since it is known the Hughes familes feelings about Warner after the accident and lets not forget the recent incident between Warner and Jason Hughes in a club match.
